thats what he explained. you have can hav the Air hooked up to wireless internet and your PC or a friends Mac or PC connected to the same internet, pop in a disc in their comp and download the drivers and software from that. no need for a CD drive. i used to be cross about this product because of the missing cd drive but now i understand. its simple. and i like it.

No, I'm a Windows user but I know Apple World well. I'm just saying that nobody will ever think of installing a software while flying on an airplane, if you by chance buy a program in the duty free of an airport, you just wait to get home and have it installed via your computer, or if you really have to install it, you can take the external unit with you. If you can spend 2,500 bucks for such a machine instead of buying even a cheaper MacPro, you will accept the limits it has :-D
