Ethanol can only take us so far, but combine that with other biofuels and we can achieve independence. Shane, I'm more awake than you know. I agree with everything you just said. All I was talking about was our lack of a national energy plan, which works beautifully in France and Japan. We need to get nuclear power plants up and running as fast as possible. We need to make building these plants streamlined. We need to switch to ethanol completely and prepare for hydrogen powered vehicles. These are things that ALL Americans, Demos and Repubs should be backing right now.

It's a scam. We're already seeing a massive food shortage around the world, and ethanol will only continue to exacerbate the situation. If you look up who the advocates for ethanol are, it's always the farmers. They just want better prices for their corn.
There are many BETTER, RENEWABLE energy sources. I just find it mind-boggling that you only see THOSE two (nuclear + ethanol) as options when we have solar, wind, and biofuels.

You obviously didn't understand what I wrote. Ethanol is just one biofuel but the next step is the hydrogen cell vehicles. Ethanol can only take us so far, but combine that with other biofuels and we can achieve independence. Solar and Wind are good as well and should be utilized but we should not ignore other options as well.

Actually, no declaration of war was made in these cases. Korea was a United Nations action. Viet Nam, we were part of Southeast Asia Treaty Organization, it was a NATO action. Bay of Pigs was the CIA,..(That's why they are called 'pigs', get it? cops), Iraq was not a declared war, yet this one goes completely on Bush. He could have ordered the attack on Iraq and there would be nothing congress or we could do about it. ...and so it will go with IRAN.
