Vermutlich, war die Variante mit dem seitlich angesetzten Magazin Produktionsoptimiert, weil die Idee der Sten, war die Produktionskosten deutlich zu senken. Die mit untem angesetzten Magazin war vlt etwas ähnliches, wie eine Luxusauführung, vlt schlicht eine Modifikation.
Genau kann ich dir diese Frage nicht bantworten. Nur wie gesagt, war die Idee der Sten sie möglichst billig zu halten. Sie bestand ja im Gegensatz zu anderen Waffen nur aus den nötigsten Teilen, damits einfach kracht.
Die ersten MP-Modelle in ww1 und zwischen den Kriegen hatten ein seitlich angesetztes Magazin, weil man damit besser liegen konnte.
Die MP40 hatte ein senkrechtes Magazin, weil sie in erster Linie für Panzerbesatzungen gedacht war, desswegen auch der Sporn an der unteren Seite des Laufs, um sie besser an den Schießscharten ansetzen zu können.
Technisch gesehen gibt es aber nur wenig Unterschiede, da die Entsprechenden Elemente nur um 45° gedreht werden mussten.
Bei der Bren LMG hat man es ja so gelöst, dass man das Magazin oben plazierte. Wobei ich finde, dass das eher unpraktisch ist, weil es das Sichtfeld einschränkt, wenn man anlegt.
Sten MKII und MP40 waren sich im Grunde recht ähnlich, nicht wahr? Wenn auch nicht unbedingt optisch.
Die Briten haben ja bei der Entwicklung der Sten stark von den Deutschen abgeschaut, zum Einen da die Mp40 durchaus eine gute Mp war und zum Anderen weil man so auch erbeutete Munition benutzen konnte.

Poland = Worlds largest army 1939

The only part of weaponry prisoners was put to produce were in some situations cartridges (In other words bullets) which were randomly tested for flaws.
Sabotage had only one punishment...death.

Vermutlich, war die Variante mit dem seitlich angesetzten Magazin Produktionsoptimiert, weil die Idee der Sten, war die Produktionskosten deutlich zu senken. Die mit untem angesetzten Magazin war vlt etwas ähnliches, wie eine Luxusauführung, vlt schlicht eine Modifikation.
Genau kann ich dir diese Frage nicht bantworten. Nur wie gesagt, war die Idee der Sten sie möglichst billig zu halten. Sie bestand ja im Gegensatz zu anderen Waffen nur aus den nötigsten Teilen, damits einfach kracht.

Die ersten MP-Modelle in ww1 und zwischen den Kriegen hatten ein seitlich angesetztes Magazin, weil man damit besser liegen konnte.
Die MP40 hatte ein senkrechtes Magazin, weil sie in erster Linie für Panzerbesatzungen gedacht war, desswegen auch der Sporn an der unteren Seite des Laufs, um sie besser an den Schießscharten ansetzen zu können.
Technisch gesehen gibt es aber nur wenig Unterschiede, da die Entsprechenden Elemente nur um 45° gedreht werden mussten.

Bei der Bren LMG hat man es ja so gelöst, dass man das Magazin oben plazierte. Wobei ich finde, dass das eher unpraktisch ist, weil es das Sichtfeld einschränkt, wenn man anlegt.
Sten MKII und MP40 waren sich im Grunde recht ähnlich, nicht wahr? Wenn auch nicht unbedingt optisch.

Die Briten haben ja bei der Entwicklung der Sten stark von den Deutschen abgeschaut, zum Einen da die Mp40 durchaus eine gute Mp war und zum Anderen weil man so auch erbeutete Munition benutzen konnte.

Ne ne ich glaub ich weiss was dein problem ist. Es gab ja auch ne Deutsche Kopie der Sten, die MP3008. Die war praktisch genau ne Sten aber mit abgesetzten Magazin. Ausserdem habe ich ein Paar vids gesehen wie sie den Ansatz für das Magazin vor dem Einführen des Magazines erst nach unten gerichtet haben und erst zur seite Schieben wenn sie das Mag einführen. MP war ne verdammt gute MP, ja aber die Feuerratte war etwas tief, 550S/min THEOREITSCH! Praktisch 360-550S/min.
