@crimsoninred Im not sure if they are the same. If you go to ebay, and type in the year and then put Civic exhaust, there are some great deals on cat-back setups that match our car. Mine was a custom exhaust system. If you type this in, (VTEC POWER) 06-11 Honda Civic Sedan 4DR RACING Cat-Back Exhaust System Muffler, it fits the r18 4dr and is only $118 with free shipping.

Why does everyone hate on automatics so much. You only have to look at the trucking world to see that 99% of dodge 1500-3500 ford f-150-650, and chevy (?-?) are automatics and people put twin pipe exhausts on them and lift them up and put 34" tires on them, and no one is giving a single f*ck about the fact that MOST (and by most I mean almost all of them) are automatics. This man here earned his money and he is entitled to spend it on an automatic, and a new exhaust. Let the poor man be!
i would rather have more power right away than rims. at least when someone pulls up next to me i can keep up more than they expected and i dont just look good with the rims in thier rearview mirror.
@jjh23h I can respect going for power before style, but a decent set of rims can save a few lbs in wheel weight, & wheel weight is exaggerated by the rotation so weight saved in wheels could give you as much straight-line performance gain as an exhaust, plus a better contact patch for better handling (the part that really matters for Honda's IMO). But either way it's an automatic so it's kind of a fail already.
You obviously dont know what youre talking about. Research anywhere on the performance parts on these cars, there are bolt up turbo kits that put it at 200whp with no other mods. There are over 65whp worth of other bolt ons. After tuning, swapping the turbo, a fuel system and an ignition system and its in reach. Same with any other honda. Of course its slow, its almost stock still. If you dont go through name brand stores for the parts, 5 grand is the max you have to spend. Check for yourself.

Its a tenrai muffler. I didnt buy it from a website, i bought it from a car shop in the middle of an outdoor fleamarke. Its not just the muffler but you coould get a similar sound by swapping the muffler but no so loud. I had a custom cat-back exhaust done. 2 1/4" piping from the cat, back and had the resonater removed.
Not only is it possible but i already know how to do it. I already know what i need. The r18 has plenty of available parts to make it happen. Those parts and the right tuning, it is possible if you have the cash. I didnt choose this car to build. I was in a tuff spot and this is what i could get. Im making the best of it. Hell, everyone says 250whp max but i know someone who put 312whp on a mustang dyno with his. He bought an ebay turbo kit, swapped out the turbo, bolt ons and tuned to 93 octane

My 400whp goal is plenty possible and will be done. It might be $5000 but it will be well over 250whp.
sorry man, not too much love for the automatic. sometimes their nice. but coming from an si owner, this car just seems kind of boring lol. and whoever is planning on getting 400 horsepower, thats never gonna happen unless you get a complete engine swap. then upgrade everything with the new engine. 5 grand in parts could possibly get you in the 250 horsepower clup haha.

I have some of the parts needed and know all of the remaining part that i will need. I figure if an old civic 1.6l can break 400whp than a new 1.8l should be able to also. Nice car and good starter mods. I have a 2007 LX and these R18's can be really quick. Your 400whp goal will be pretty tough as I have not seen any R18 with more than 250whp. I think 300whp is more realistic, I think at 400 you'll be breaking things lol.
I actually got the Tenrai muffler for just $50 and I had the rest custom welded up with 2 1/4" pipes from the cat and had the resonater removed. That cost $120. Cheaper than a bolt up performance exhaust with the same effect.
I am going to do another 0-60 this week. Also plan on doing a 0-100, a 25-75 and a 100mph fly by. You should either check back or subscribe if you want to see it when i put it on.
Thanks. Sorry about your civic. The civic is my dream car but only got it by chance. A driver slammed into my G6 in February and Vandergriff Honda was willing to put me into a brand new Honda, so i went for it. Glad i did. You modified a R18, AUTOMATIC. what is that 0-60 10 seconds nice economy gearing. I have no problem with R18's modified some are pretty quick and unique but you failed. If you wanted a faster car out of the box shoulda gotten an SI.
