  • do you calculate the neutral axe the same way as we do with normal plate ? always wondering what is the math for W, Channel and Angle

  • so i am trying to make a rim for a motorcycle, 17inch diamater, so i can attach the spokes to it and weld to it instead of the aluminum stock ones. how hard would it be to get a circle doing this?

  • i didn't see the channel ...looked like plate to me..

  • The piece I was heating was channel facing downward. I applied most of the heat to the sides.

That would be some serious plate if it was.

  • what was this used for

  • this was the front edge of a Juliette balcony for Spiderwood Studios. Maybe Tarantino will stand on it one day if he films there.

  • Wow, that was sooo cool watching you hold a torch!

  • The point of this lesson grasshopper is you can use a winch attached to the ceiling to bend heavy stock if you can secure it to the ground. This allows you to use a rosebud torch without heating up a worktable or hossfeld type bender.

  • @bamwa You should put on some pants before you start putting out lessons. It's obvious that you don't know enough about safety to start teaching.
