@Poetbabe7 I heard rumors (rumors) that the "call out order" is determined by the producers. That's why Vienna and Chantal O were always called last. Jake said he had a hard time remembering early on, but I also hear that there are microscopic tags on each rose with names, for the first few rose ceremonies. And, I agree, the producers HAVE to be in his ear, telling him to keep Monica and Jenna, and to give Jenna the last rose.

Not to sound racist or rude, but the fact of the matter is most people who watch the bachelor are white and most people don't like to date outside their race. If they had a minority bachelor, it probably wouldn't be good for the ratings and they'd have a harder time trying to get women. I'm sure there's a version of the show for minority races. Why is it okay for minorities to have their own shows but not whites?

Other viewers brought up legit points: What if a black bachelor eliminates all of the black women first, and keeps the white women?  What about people of color opposite gender of the minority bachelor/bachelorette make a stink about it? Also, many don't want to be contestants, knowing they likely won't win. What if on a hometown date, the parents see interracial and make faces, etc etc.

@babykevinxoxo It's a vicious cycle. The majority of contestants are white males and females, so the runner-ups will most likely be caucasian. Thus, the following season's bachelor or bachelorette will most likely be caucasian.

Also, the producers may take the bachelors' preferences into account; when they ask for blondes, they're not asking for the hair color. Or when they ask for a 6' 2''; height averages varies with race. Or when they ask for a specific religion.
