yeah its not done in single strokes, 2 kicks on the same beater. i could go faster in the vid. but my cam i real shit and i sounds sloppy......and i know people will comment about that
Thanks, I look relaxed because I use my energy where it's needed, doesn't mean it's easy for me.. anyway you've pretty much answered your own question there. Generally the "roll types things" are 32nd notes grouped in 4's followed by 2, 4 or 6 16th notes repetitively in no particular order, I'm not using any special technique. It basically evolves from practicing 16th and 32nd alternatively at a consistent tempo.

like your doing normal 16th notes for a while then little fast 32nd notes then back to 16th
