  • I think the use of 'vintage' is a bit much here :) but nice to see these trains.

  • 4:52 This beast is still alive! Even more than 20 years!

  • since when is 1989 vintage? so now the 80s are the "Olden days"?

  • when in 1989 was this shot

  • that IC unit sounds like a K5LA

  • 3:09 What type of horn is that?

  • i use to live not far from Gateway yard and cone yard it was amazing to see alll the action coming thru there

  • Really nice man!

  • Heavy Horn 4:56

  • You got the IC 6031, one of the four bought new SD40-2's ICG Had. Nice shots, although you were a little close for comfort. ;-)

  • I wonder what day in 1989 this was shot, it looks like winter.

  • ilike the cmnw shot they was under the santa fe then

  • that 2nd amtrack has a funny noise at 4:05

  • funny noise is a Nathan M5

  • and 3:03 and 4:04

  • funny horn at 3:00 and 4:00

  • Both of thems are Nathan AirChime P5's, sounds like the first one might have been a NC P5, and the other P5LAC?

  • Did 3023 have a Mars light?

  • I don't even remember if 3023 have a Mars Headlight the first Southern Pacific SD40T-2 8529 did have a Mars Headlight and all of the engines belonging to Rio Grande still have the Mars Headlight and the last time i saw another Rio Grande engine again there was no Mars Headlight only one working headlight the ditch lights replaced the Mars on SP's and Rio Grande's engines anymore.

  • Loving that K5LA on that IC train.

  • I loke that NS freight with the P5 on it the best I have an old P5 horn off a scrapped out NS diesel and am going to put it on the top of my Ford truck and I have the old grahm white valve to blow it too

  • very nice indeed

  • at 1:12 the red car didn't wait and almost stopped in the track.

  • Nice M3 very rare horn 20 years later which railroads used them?

  • The 2nd Train was IC not ICG, ICG ended in February 1988.
