i love elfen lied and i love my native band rammstein (germany juhu!). but im really sad that elfenlied stops like that. i read the manga and the manga is realy something different. i dont understand why they stopped at the half and did a filler ending. the original ending was just so... so.... so elfenlied style! poor lucy

The action-like parts of the song weren't synched well with action clips, and the lyrics are not lip synched very much. :(

Does anyone else find it odd that the first episode heavily censors the gore, but when Lucy tears Nana apart like a child tears the wings off a butterfly they show everything?

The first is the only one rated 18+ (in Germany), all others are 16+. Massive slaughter, pushing that heart out of that guard, ripping the head off the secretary ... what do you want? :O

They don't show it as graphically in the first episode, they block out the actual tearing of flesh for the most part, they don't even show what Lucy does to that gaurd, just the blood. We never see that secratary girl's head actually COME OFF, just see her body twist a little.

For me it's already enough, or maybe just better, imagining how the guard must have felt in the last seconds of his life (you dont instantly die when your heart stops beating, so, he probably lived on for some seconds too). Thats the true awesomeness of the gore-part of Elfen Lied
