  • How did you get that rubber stopper thing off at 1:57? I have a 98 grand cherokee laredo that I'm trying to find a way with my power wire from the battery to the inside of my jeep...

  • @Dwq47 I just pried it out with a small flat head screw driver. It was a little bugar to get out.

  • @TheJ20jeepster Yeah mines bigger and harder to reach... I couldn't get it out. Looks like I'm just gonna have to have it drilled.

  • @Dwq47 That's a bummer. Thanks for watchin' the video!

  • It was a #15 torque star if I remember right. Thanks for watching!

  • I have a 95 cherokee, What kind of screws are in the holes underneath the cover on the column?

Im having trouble taking that off right now.

  • @Karmosity It was a #15 torque star if I remember right. Thanks for watching!

  • Sweet! I watched the video too late, already hacked up my Jeep! J/K, check out my 96 Cherokee videos. 6-12"

  • you should do a vid on the wiring to

  • @Rjellycrf

I'll have to go back and check my video files to see if I have some good footage of the wiring. Thanks for watching!

  • Where did you put your amp? under the driver seat?

  • @rillir09 I did, I was going to put it under the back seat but the amp I had was to big.

  • It's good to see someone actually takes some time to make it look good... Nice job man

  • @EverAfterZach Thanks, I try. :-)

  • Thanks so much for this video! I was going crazy trying to figure out where to go through the firewall!

  • @DaveWilkins You are most welcome! Thanks for watching! I never like to drill holes unless I really have to. ;-)

  • Great video!!!!! i couldnt figure out how to get through the firewall and this video u found a way. thanks alot.

  • @ThEliteModderz Glad you were able to use it!

  • so i hooked my amp up.

I have a 1989 jeep cherokee. Basically everything is the same.

However, my amp didn't turn on.. I dont know what i could have done wrong. Can someone help me out?

  • @juveed94 Make sure your fuse is in and not blown. Also make sure the ground is good.

  • @TheJ20jeepster AHHH!!! thank you! The fuse in between the head system rem and the amp was blown! I didnt think to look there! thank you so much.

  • @juveed94 You're welcome. :-)

  • Your interior looks pretty good compared to mine (I'd also rather have a red jeep instead of a blue jeep) and the previous owner of my jeep must have sealed my steering wheel cover because theres no screws in it and the corner has some kind of adhesive or gel on it lol

So i just kind of have to work around the bezel :(

  • @GiggadyGoo21 That's too bad, I tried to work around the bezel and just couldn't. Hope you find a way!

Thanks, I was happy to find this one in such good shape. Only 102,000mi. I wanted one because that IL6 4.0 will run past 350,000. They are just tough little rigs. My buddy has two that are past 300 and all thy have had to do is replace the water pump!

Thanks again for watching! Enjoy your rig, I really like mine.

  • @GiggadyGoo21 you can still take the bezal out without the steering wheel cover, its just harder and u have to use more force. i have the same jeep as this 2

  • @14crazybass yeh what i decided to do is just get one of those radio transmitters u hook up to ur mp3 and u can use different radio frequencies to play the songs right off ur mp3...Its a lot cheaper to just do that too, but now my stereo isnt even working for me to do that! lol i'll figure something out so im not worried :P

  • Hey im 17 just got my first car in Jan. and its a blue 96 cherokee, im looking to change the stereo and just wanted to let u know your video helped a lot :)

Really glad i found this video thanks... seems like u can find a video for just about anything on youtube now a days lol

  • You could with some modding. You would have to make your own mounting bracket and figure out a way to face it off, but the room should be there for it once you move the controls down. Thanks for watching!

  • do you think i could easily put a double din in that same jeep if i take the vent out and slide the a/c heat controls down??
