You should make an screen comparison between using something like software render or a old version of Pete's OpenGL and this plus the shaders that you're using... so we can see the "differences".

Okay i went to "..." at the bottom to special game fixes. But its not an option to specify the folder although it comes up in my epsxe video config when i see it.
@lordlusta Im just wondering, it can be a problem because the shader folder is not specified. Try to change the folder clicking in the "..." button on the shader part of the video settings, and choose the "shader" folder. I downloaded my archive in this video to install it in the new PC, and i followed all steps, but there is an "automatic step" in my mind that is to specify the shader folder... and i guess i didnt put this step on the tutorial.
@Invisiblekyd Why so serious? Every game have a minimum requirement, emulators too. My PC match the minimum requirements (that are very low) to run at Full Speed. Example: a Pentium III with a Geforce FX5200 can't handle this emulator, because the PC is very slow. Do you understand?

@XxjfreemanxX turn off texture filtering to 0 and full screen filter off too and voila, no more lines just slightly ugly 3d models... but use this or the Natural Plugin and that fixes that too

@NewTrendSetters man, you need to configurate the Video Plugin exactly the same as mine. There is a screenshot on the folder that i've uploaded that have my configuration. Open that screenshot and configure your plugin as the screenshot shows.

@ZOMGWTFALLNAMESTAKEN in the japanese version of the game the adittion is called "Blossom Storm", but in the american version the adittion is called "Flower Storm" . They only changed the name, not the sounds. little strange, no?

@12token@12token you're supposed to be able to save 2 ways on this emulator, one is the regular saving, however the specific game you're playing saves should save as normal onto memory cards included in the emulator but I've been having problems with that, the second way is by using save slates or quick saves by pressing F1 it'll save your current position, be it in the middle of a movie scene or a fight or anything, to load a save slate simply load run the game and press F3.

@NanoShockVideos there are Nintendo 64 emulators but I couldn't download one because you need a 3D graphics card or something like that, and graphics cards run anywhere from $250-$500 so I've heard, so yeah, very much so out of my budget.

i been trying to play legend of dragoon on my laptop and your vid worked well :) but one question. how did you record this because when you open the emulator and play the game its fullscreen so you cant use a program to record that window.
im using those settings but still getting blue lines >_< my G card is a nvidia GTS 450.....i have 4gb Ram and and Quad processors so im thinking the problem is not my comp...
@MangekyouSasuke01 I think that those blue lines can be fixed by checking a box on "Special game Fixes" in the Video plugin. there should be a LoD fix, or something like that.
@cecius123 nope thats only on the older plugin for some reason, but i did put the the screen resolution to 1440 x 900 and set texture filtering to 0....now it works perfectly....thanks for the help the other settings worked great
@cecius123@cecius123 whenever I get into a fight, both random encounters and ones essential to the game the screen goes black and it makes a sound like the sound it makes in he PS version when you get into the fight only louder and it lasts much longer. is there any way to fix this? I have everything working for me perfectly fine except this, I tried the LoD game fix in video configuration hoping that it would fix more than just the blue lines but it didn't help the horrendous lagging.

@mico1393 you probably need a better audio plug-in. The emulator that you downloaded should have had a recommendations list of plug-ins and/or links to the plug-ins so you could easily download them as well. If not, I hear VERY good things about P.E.Op.S DSound if you don't have it already.
quick question everything is good i got the console working and the game and in battle is great but outside battle runs pretty slow any way to fix it or i just need to deal with it?
K so by activatin "frameskip" its supposed to solve the lag problem, but for me it just causes every moment of battle/outside of battle to be very choppy, glitchy or w.e u wanna call it
@ZhoinX Blue screens are usually do to a corruption or crash of a program or service *I guess viruses but I doubt that* Next time don't be like those idiots who stare and watch the number count to 100 on the commercials and unplug your computers power supply or face the consequences.

My game runs fine while Im running around out side of battle but whenever there is a cutscene or a battle is starting it takes forever to get to the battle or the end of the cutscene. @realchris1 That's easy to fix. You only need to activate "frameskip" on video config. This will "skip" the animation problem, entering faster than before.
@ang3lb3low Darts your main guy for about anything combat normal rose is usable for fighting and healing Shana / Miranda have a powerful healing technique when you get their final dragon magic power it deals a lot of damage to the enemy thus healing you plenty at the same time. If your looking for someone powerful tho then pick Kongol. It would be good to at least work with hash tho because in one part where you have to fight his daughter it's pretty much...wtf. But yeah just keep him working.

@lavitz1125 man, i never used hacks in any games. To get the last addition you need to max the level of the other ones.. example: Get the lvl 5 of the first addition (do it 80x), the second, the third, and keep going. AND on this video i came back to those places only to make the video.. but i was very far from this places.. i was on the 4 CD i think.

It can be a problem with the memory card files.. you have to select it on the settings.. if you cant do it, try to create another memory card and play 1 minute on the game and try to save... see if it solves the problem. If you want, you can try to "Save state" on the emulator settings... when you do "Load State" you instantly come back to where you "saved the state". For security i always save on memory card and on the save state options.

I've got a problem, previously on emulator i've been playing legend of dragoon and theres scenarios where i have to change the disk during the game, i can't do this for somereason it just won't work :(
@3FruitsPunch Man, you can't simply eject the disc and put another in the driver.. it will not work. You have to press ESC, go to File and press Change Disc > CDROM (something like this). Then you change the disc and press ok. Otherwise it'll not work.
i remember when i first played this game, i was so freakin stupid, i was such a low level at the final boss, and used the crappiest pieces of equipment, but now im better and i havnt died so far on my new file. (im right before the divine dragon now,have a feelin i will die)
When I emulate, albert's layer looks very square. i mean, it looks separated in parts since the top to the down part. i will post a video to show you and you can tell me whats the problem T.T

question and please please please answer. my emualotr runs okay when im during cut scene or talking. but during battles or when a battle is about to start it just basically laggs a lot. it goes from 60F to 10 during beginning of battles. how do u fix that?
@zummone Legend of Dragoon is one of the best if not THE best RPG of any console. Definitely the best on the PS1. FF8's got nothing on this game. Seriously, go play it.

epsxe 1.7.0 and 1.6.0PS1\ePSXe\epsxe 1.70\memcards\epsxe000.mcr - search for that in your folder

@cecius123 also, whenever I try and save as normal, with the memory card that came with the emulator my game freezes and it doesn't save, the only saving thats been working is the save slates. is there any way to fix that?

@mico1393 you probably need a better audio plug-in. The emulator that you downloaded should have had a recommendations list of plug-ins and/or links to the plug-ins so you could easily download them as well. If not, I hear VERY good things about P.E.Op.S DSound if you don't have it already.

quick question everything is good i got the console working and the game and in battle is great but outside battle runs pretty slow any way to fix it or i just need to deal with it?

@TheDemarrco u can try turning the frameskip off, while in game press f4, basically makes everything faster

K so by activatin "frameskip" its supposed to solve the lag problem, but for me it just causes every moment of battle/outside of battle to be very choppy, glitchy or w.e u wanna call it

@ZhoinX Blue screens are usually do to a corruption or crash of a program or service *I guess viruses but I doubt that* Next time don't be like those idiots who stare and watch the number count to 100 on the commercials and unplug your computers power supply or face the consequences.

@robdazombie555 save the game at the end of the chapter as it lets you then restart your emulator with the disk 2 iso

@2KBananaPeels my problem too. it first says "go to file>run bios" so i do. i hear a sound of ps1 starting but screen stays black. when i wanted to launch my own Legend of Dragoon (ripped off original CD with imgburn) i get the sound but a black screen. HELP

hopefully you can help me. My game runs fine while Im running around out side of battle but whenever there is a cutscene or a battle is starting it takes forever to get to the battle or the end of the cutscene. Please help I really wanna kick Lloyds ass :D I have the epsxe on my desktop and it only lags during the battle intro where the screen fades.

@realchris1 That's easy to fix. You only need to activate "frameskip" on video config. This will "skip" the animation problem, entering faster than before.

@ang3lb3low Darts your main guy for about anything combat normal rose is usable for fighting and healing Shana / Miranda have a powerful healing technique when you get their final dragon magic power it deals a lot of damage to the enemy thus healing you plenty at the same time. If your looking for someone powerful tho then pick Kongol. It would be good to at least work with hash tho because in one part where you have to fight his daughter it's pretty much...wtf. But yeah just keep him working.

Hey, thanks for this video, love the game, but a question, how do you get maxed out additions and Dragoon levels? Ive googled it but couldn't find how to do it on the PC. Well thanks in advance, i assume you used a hack, or edited a file. Thanks again.

@lavitz1125 man, i never used hacks in any games. To get the last addition you need to max the level of the other ones.. example: Get the lvl 5 of the first addition (do it 80x), the second, the third, and keep going. AND on this video i came back to those places only to make the video.. but i was very far from this places.. i was on the 4 CD i think.

@Ipoonthosenoobs Hi bro. It can be a problem with the memory card files.. you have to select it on the settings.. if you cant do it, try to create another memory card and play 1 minute on the game and try to save... see if it solves the problem. If you want, you can try to "Save state" on the emulator settings... when you do "Load State" you instantly come back to where you "saved the state". For security i always save on memory card and on the save state options.

I've got a problem, previously on emulator i've been playing legend of dragoon and theres scenarios where i have to change the disk during the game, i can't do this for somereason it just won't work :(

@3FruitsPunch Man, you can't simply eject the disc and put another in the driver.. it will not work. You have to press ESC, go to File and press Change Disc > CDROM (something like this). Then you change the disc and press ok. Otherwise it'll not work.

i remember when i first played this game, i was so freakin stupid, i was such a low level at the final boss, and used the crappiest pieces of equipment, but now im better and i havnt died so far on my new file. (im right before the divine dragon now,have a feelin i will die)

When I emulate, albert's layer looks very square. i mean, it looks separated in parts since the top to the down part. i will post a video to show you and you can tell me whats the problem T.T

question and please please please answer. my emualotr runs okay when im during cut scene or talking. but during battles or when a battle is about to start it just basically laggs a lot. it goes from 60F to 10 during beginning of battles. how do u fix that?

This doesn't seem to work for my graphics card. The FPS is always below 8 and I get weird texture stretching and filtering issues.
So apparently, the configuration setup dislikes my graphics card.

@zummone Legend of Dragoon is one of the best if not THE best RPG of any console. Definitely the best on the PS1. FF8's got nothing on this game. Seriously, go play it.
