I've been playing this game for years and only have I discovered a hidden secret in the game... after you pay the bounty hunter to kill the earthling leader you should attack and defeat their MARS colony.. build a space port and a few mines then you will find for some reason when you go to transfer stuff the earthlings have left behind thousands of hardware tanks planes missile launchers etc.. it makes defeating the earthlings a doodle!!!

I love this game, so much fun. I would love a remake of this (or a simple update to the code so the game could work in a windows environment without dosbox or some other tool).
a good way to win is .. make more building in beginning and set taxes to high .. then press mouse button to time go very fast .. to gather money .. everything depends on when first alien jannisary planet is found .. if its found early in the game just begin new game .. it u gather a lot of cash before observatory finds it u win :) i hire best scientists at that time and create huge derrick fields :)
Someone said that this was the music used for Royskopp feat. Robyn "The Girl and the Robot" song. What do you think? I'm not convinced. I love the song, it's my new fave!
I have noticed that you never make the date indicator go faster... Its simple, you click and hold the left mouse button in the time & date clock slot and it can run from one day to another. Or, you can click and hold the right mouse button to make a "fast-forward" time-passing.
The first steps are way too easy compared to the rest of the game. The Plot gets more & more interesting, but the game still crashes multiple times so you MUST save often. Let's view part 02 :P
I've started on a remake of this game just to get rid of many bugs that persist in the actual release for the PC version. I'd like to know what other improvements people would like to see, multi-player option perhaps?
personally i only hated when it crashed. But the other thins i didnt like was also the things that made this game great: that it was so hard. It takes too many resources and time to make your fleet big enough in order to constantly combat your enemies. A lower cost or production time could be helpful - but that is only my oppinion.
Also this game is impossible to finish without a walktrough. Sometimes there are no clues to what you have to do next.
I didn't like the time limits. You don't do something on time and you get stuck. Happened to me during The League episode. Also there was some weird limit on facilities. I had colonized so many planets and build so many buildings that the game wouldn't let me construct more... and the citizens were still complaining about hospitals, food, not enough living space etc. I had to destroy my own colonies...

yes that sums it up very well. There is only one way to finish the game, but this way is not apparant, it is something you have to read about. There should be some sources of hints of what to do in the game, or some order or likewise of what to do in regards to colonization and battling aliens.
Also i remember how irritating it is gathering ores from distant planets. That took too long.

I hated that i should use so much time flying my transport-ships to distent mining-colonies and real colonies.
If this game was remade in a flash-game using the same sounds and graphics then i think you should make a auto-system for the collecting of resources such as ore and other metals
Yes; the auto system you talk off is diffidently in the plan.. perhaps some kinda trade route idea. I also think that the construction of ship etc could be done on all planets/moons. greatly eliminating the need to transfer cargo to the main planet.
I don't get how you could have so few military ships, so little income and so advanced teches! Which is the secret? ^^

With no way to complete the game without doing everything right from start to end is really crap.

There is no reason to create a ground army in any planet but New Earth. All the atacks were in the main planet.

Actually I have Amiga standing right next to me and the game is installed on hard drive there. The music IS different.
