Being number one, being a professional, being successful has little to do with being happy, at peace, in harmony.
I'd choose the life of happiness rather than a life of successfulness. Because when you are laying at your death bed, all that matters is the harmony and joy.
Where ever you're going after this life, whatever you believe. You are not taking anything earthly with you so you might aswel enjoy the journey that is life.
Spirituality - evolve to what from its current form; without a direction, how can you evolve? Basically how would one differentiate evolutionary enlightenment/spirituality from normal enlightenment/spirituality? And I looked up Andrew Cohen and basically his idea of "evolutionary enlightenment" seems to be about group enlightenment vs traditional enlightenment, which he sees as individual oriented, but both kinds of "enlightenment"
still tend to center around a group listening to one or a few "enlightened" individuals and usually have noticeable Indian religious influences. "Evolutionary enlightenment" sounds nice and modern and new-agey and better, but is it that different from its predecessors? Is the addition of the qualifier "evolutionary" meaningful or could it be a hook to bate the unwary?

*expansion* is the best direction of all.

good answer, but a better one would specify the type of expansion, and that being a more inward expansion.

Indeed. Inner space is just as real as outer space.
