What a glorious society was so tragically & needlessly terrorized by arrogant young idiots w/ too many guns for 15 yrs. Thankfully its traditions of merchant savvy, reverence of higher education & liberalism remained, not to mention that NY Times picked Beirut as its top travel destination a couple of yrs ago. Now if only more Lebanese would start paying their taxes, the gov't could then provide > electrcity. + much < cell phone bills. Love from Miami to the Phoenicians
