If I was the director of the Deathly Hallows, I would have gone against the book and let Snape live. Then again, I would let Snape die, as to books says, but then come back later with a 9th film where he is discovered to be alive, resurrected and age locked (meaning he can't age or die, stuck at 38 years old, due to what was used to bring him back)
