I just got my Tax Refund so Ive got the ER fund & bcuz we havent had a VAC for 4 Yrs we are taking a Sm Family Disneyland VAC & putting alittle Towards Debit & what ever $ we come bk with will also go Towards our Debit. I know VACs aren't part of of this plan but everyone needs a get away now n then.
Also next month I want to hv a Garage Sale(Tag Sale) to get more $ for debit.. So we are on our way ;)
I am not familiar with the steps, but it turns out we've been doing them anyway. Luckily we were able to use the little bit we had saved at the beginning of the year for our emergencies. No more adding to credit cards!

Worked the steps and got debt-free and an emergency fund just before the 2008 crash...where I lost my job.
Losing a job before that would have devastated me, but after getting debt-free and savings, it was a hiccup.
I guess that's why Dave calls it Financial Peace.
