When Isa was on the cross he was replaced by another man that look like him and Isa went to heaven alive. But didnt then this unknown man who died on the cross for Isa sins actions and not his. Let's come down to the basic points.

Islam believes Jesus is a prophet. (which Allah mentions)

Christianity believes Jesus is the Son of God. (which Jesus says Himself)

It's okay for everyone else to have their beliefs. But all i want to say is that Islam does not follow the same God as Christianity does.

These Billboards turn me off, because 1 Jesus Christ is one of the Prophets of Islam, because Islam is a copy cat religion, presenting almost no original ideas of itself, and borrowing figures from Judaism and Christianity. 2 When I see a billboards like that I'm reminded of Islam's supposed infalliability, and the lengths it goes to assert that infallibility, using the previous religion as a crutch to assert how perfect it is.

So thats what religion does. Creates tension, wether its intentional or not, someone is always going to be offended some way or another. And this isn't something new.

Conflict between religions has occurred for thousands of years, masses of people have died in holy wars, people discriminated against just because they believe in a different God, several gods, or different way of life.

And it always leads to this; that people are afraid of what is different.

I'm an atheist so I don't give a toss about either Muslim theology or Christian theology - they are both full of it. But I have a couple of comments:

1) The reporter talks about "Muslims and everyday Australians". If I lived in Australia, as a non-christian I would be offended by this. Only Christians are "everyday"?

2) Every modern developed country should be secular. No government body has any business deciding between competing theologies.

3) The billboards would frighten children? Jeez!

I am really sorry for posting many comments. I wont comment anything any more, Just really need you to know that my belief is what I believe, and what you believe is your belief. We won't worship what each other worship. so rather than saying all the bad things about one religion, better we just learn and apply every aspect of our own belief. :)

The Jesus of the Qur'an is based on post 3rd century Gnostic myths, a mere cut-out figure when compared to the majesty of the New Testament accounts. Thankfully Christ did not wage military battles, nor did he kill those who insulted him. He did not have "revelations" that granted him women or war booty. Muhammad, on the other hand, was a fiend, a tyrant who had sex with a child, kept concubines, slept with his adopted son's wife, allowed his men to rape female war captives, stoned women, etc.

@nathanielscarlethawe and one more things. I suggest you to learn arabic (and remember, Quran's arabic is different with daily arabic language), get the hadith by yourself and not from internet. There are many bad news about Christian as well in internet but I always believe that I should get the Bible and find the truth by myself rather than believing what's other people say.

And, no, Islam does not teach respect. 50-60% of the Qur'an is directed towards the non Muslim. Allah hates us. We are "filthy", the "vilest of animals", we should be subdued or killed. Actually I don't want to argue like this because it just will spread hatred. I have mostly Non-muslim friends since I live in western country, and we love and respect each other, I remind them and company not to eat what they are not suppose to eat prior to Easter, and they send me to Masjid so I can pray for my Eid prayer. We really get along together. So I just don't like the fact that you are too busy accusing this religion is villain, that religion is bad etc like that

@nathanielscarlethawe and my Catholic friend even told me how peaceful the situation in Jerussalem actually is, because Muslim and Non muslim live peacefully. He even amazed to know that the church's keeper is actually Muslim. Maybe you would say it just because he needs a job, but if refering to your 'vilest animals', the keeper would already burn down the church, wouldn't he?. I am grateful to have my non-muslim friends who are not shallow minded and can respect each other beliefs.

That huge billboard stating that Jesus is some how associated with Islam has backfired on those who paid for the message, because there are many people around the world who have been named "Jesus" including the ex boyfriend of pop singer Madonna. The fact is there is only one LORD JESUS CHRIST who is given the FULL title and He hates Allah the Moon-god who is the Great Satan.
