Claire is a pretty tough woman b/c a typical woman would've been crying, writhing in pain. A guy would be too, but she can take as many blows as a man. She's a pretty tough chick. Wesker just don't care who she beats up. He punched Jill in the stomach in the remake of the original and hit her with her pistol. In RE5, he made Jill fly into a bookshelf. Wesker lacks respect for anyone regardless of gender.
