I'd even say that Arch Enemy stems from a different musical reality because the ideas and emotions they put into music and the source of their inspiration are quite different from those of Lumsk. At least in my oppinion.

Therefore it's hard to assess their quality only based on that how melodic their music or vocals is.

I like and value all music. (Almost).
