I don't know if the world needed yet another Hendrix documentary, but it was for public TV, part of the box set, and a pretty straightforward story of his life. Bootsy did a good job reading from Jimi's words and interviews. I still love the first documentary, though.

I know a lot of guys my age who can rush through scales, but have never tried to write a song. They're too content with covering '80s bands and modern rock. Don't they pay attention the greats like Hendrix (as you said), Jimmy Page (playing skiffle at age 14) or John Frusciante (who joined became a Chili Peppers when he was fucking 18)!? Damnit.
