  • Fernando Guerrero is going to beat him Saturday in Mexico.

  • As you pointed out in the beginning, I think David has learned a valuable lesson and has a lot of promise. I wish him well.

  • A really good fight from both boxers.

  • David has a certain Joe Louis quality about him. Not necessarily in terms of total skill mind you, but in the way of deliberate approach, economy of motion. Everything is a setup, a counter advance, rather than a punch simply to hope to buy time to think. Especially in his footwork, accurate, but deliberate and somewhat slow paced, which may end up costing him. But who knows?

  • i think he can drop to light middleweight easy. Big names for him to whoop up on, means big money - nobody in Middleweight, and super mid too heavy for him. Was wondering whats up with this 10rounder. He already got a straight 20KO win, needed to get a 10round fight in against a winning opponent to give him legitimacy. Mike Tyson went thru the same public skepticism. I just got the upload of David Lemieux's freshest fight - check it!

  • good learning fight for lemieux. my one concern is that he hasn't gone through that many rounds yet. he keeps knocking his opponents out early on! we saw in this fight that he has the stamina to go through 10 rounds easily.

  • @artofpoetry David has a "go the distance" problem. His strategy is to knock the other guy out early. If the other fighter can hang in there, David is vulnerable. David found this out with Rubio on 4/8/2011. As David's trainer said, they trained for a marathon, but David fought a sprint. David won the first five rounds, but could not knock Rubio out. Rubio won the sixth, knocked David down in the seventh. David got up, but was spent. His trainer threw in the towel to prevent injury.

  • @mindspring57 yeah, the rubio fight certainly proved your point! i think lemieux has the stamina to go a full fight; but he's impulsive and undisciplined. like you say, his one strategy is to knock the other guy out.

  • hes look soft around the mid section man, he needs to get to 160 and stay there

  • @egganbert do you mean that lemieux looks soft around the middle?

  • been really waiting for this fight thnx bro
