What about the thick roots and how Katniss plants actually grow in the mud? I think that she grew up in a "muddy" environment (meaning crappy) and is a strong character which can be "think roots."
I totes met you at AusOne! I tried to sell you tickets to a movie, not sure if you remember. Ah well, looking forward to making some mysterious videos with you. Not going to watch all of this because I'm reading the first Hunger Games book at the moment and I'm not sure if there are spoilers. I'm sure it's marvelous though!
Fascinating! I did not know the archer reference. Very cool. I was talking to my friend the other day about the whole Lupine/Wolf shifter thing and Professor Lupin. So glad you finally got your J-Scribble! :)
@nerdgirlsforthewin Pretty well all the names that JK chose for the characters in the HP series are perfection. I meant to reference them, but I suppose I got too caught up in Collins.
Sent you a friend request on Goodreads :) I am doing the 50 books challenge as well. :D I love names and this was really interessing! Did you know that about Snow's first name. Pretty amazing. (I actually wanted to study onomatology, but you had to take with slavistics...)
And my reaction to the JScribble was exactly the same xD
@judyandthecat I didn't really know who Coriolanus was when I was reading the books, but I knew that Shakespeare wrote a play about him, so after I finished reading, I went and did some googling, and it all fell into place!
wow this is awesome! i want you to do ALL THE OTHER NAMES THAT EVER APPEARED ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW! plox.

I would also be interested in the parallels between Katniss and Primrose as names. Seeing as they are both plants.
READ. TFIOS!
Hold on, I'm signing up to GoodReads right now.

@GoodEveening I did go into detail about Prim and Gale too, but the video was 45min long >.<"
I might do a Tumblr post about it, if people are really interested...

I really enjoyed this! I'd never taken a closer look at the names before, so this was great. Good luck with the reading challenge :)
