  • i cant believe shes gone..so sad..God take her in His arms..amem

  • RIP angel, you are the best.

  • I prefer her harmonizing with Neil Young than to singing solo...

  • Nicolette is probably singing with the angels in that heavenly choir.

  • @deborahwa I wish she does, my prayers for her too....

  • RIP Nicolette - I've loved your music.

  • outstanding

  • voce fantastica

  • I'm sorry for you. Rest in peace, God bless youuuuuuuu! Angel

  • She just got better over time. If only she had a little more with all of us . . .

  • I can not stop listening to this song. So beautifully sung. Nicolette Larson has one of the most beautiful voices ever. To bad she had to leave us so soon. I guess this is one way to keep her legacy alive is by playing her songs often.

  • Thans for the lyrics, ScherzinGirl83. That is a nice addition to a beautiful video ! It is great to see more Nicolette Larson videos available on YouTube.

  • I'll never understand Me and my father I'll never understand Me and my father I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder And drift away to sleep Dreaming of sirens as they play among the islands But I can't find Stars we used to watch as they shing amone the blue You might have seen them through me and my father Oh.. You might have seen them through me and my father noi ci abbiamo provato :)
  • @ScherzinGirl83 Grazieeeeeee per il testo. L'ho chiesto pure a Grazia Di Michele e infatti mi ha risposto. Grazie chiunque tu sia.

  • If you could tell me the way that you feel Breaking your silence forever being to With you defensiveness because You are my father I'd free your wings And deep into the nights I'd gather you with me I'd go through never ending heavens to nowhere But you can't find Stars we used to watch as they shine among the blue Your wings have died of you Wondering father Time is moving fast See myself as I'm seeing yourself In a light that's shining on your face On your falling out through all the race
  • If I could tell you the way that I feel On cloudy days when things seem so unreal Without becoming shy because You are my father If I could sing you a song to my years Imagining words that would never have been I'd remember him you are my father I'd lie my head so softly on your shoulder And drift away to sleep Dreaming of sirens as they play among the islands But I can't find Stars we used to watch in this dark among the blue You might have seen them through Me and my father:

Please, somebody can write "Me and My Father" lyrics? Anyway, thank you.

Grazie a chi lo ha caricato.

Please, "Me and My Father" Lyrics. Anyway, thank you!

  • Is there more of this concert?

  • Davvero bella, molto sentita questa interpretazione

  • i wish she would have not gone into country music in the mid 1980s and went towards pop. new wave or dance but she would have had to leave people in circle to do that.

  • She died of liver failure and fluid on the brain on December 16, 1997 at the age of 45.

  • @multicatmom It's a shame to loose a talent,at a relatively young age,all this came as a surprise to me,since I'd not heard of it until the R.I.P, on this site; But this is a fact of history Buddy Holly,Patsy Kline,Otis Redding,Janice Joplin,Jimi Hendrix, to name a few, but there is still lots of comfort in the music.

  • at what age she died ? someone know?

  • @janis1110 I think she was in her mid 40s

  • @janis1110 age 48 of brain cancer

  • Wonderful

  • What an incredible video. Nicolette. The quality is unbelievealbe. Thenks so much for posting.

  • Remembering you today Nicolette.....what a voice...

  • What a wonderful song and singer. i am sad I only discovered her work now. Sad she is no longer with us

  • sings naturally sooooothing

  • Love how she said grazie at the end.

  • anyone know what album this is on?? thanks.

  • TO QUE ELA MORREU ? PARECIA CHEIA DE VIDA E ERA LINDA POR SINAL

  • i knew about her 'cause she had a relation with Neil Young (i'm a great fan of him) but only now i realize that she has been a great singer ...wonderful voice and performances during her artistic career... Neil Young wrote Lotte love , and he said to her to play if she wanted, that version has been a great performance (a little bit disco Style), i love the way she was used to sing...bye Nicolette, too young to die..

  • What a sweetie with such an amazingly beautiful voice. Thank you, Nicolette, for leaving so many beautiful recordings for us to enjoy. It is so sad to realize that such a beautiful voice is no more. Your spirit and your music live on and even after 13 years, you are still missed.

  • What a wonderful voice and great performance from a very beautiful lady!

  • Nicolette: you'll be always in our hearts and our souls...

    Little big Nicolette, RIP.

  • @dimpledick3inch You have shown everyone you really ARE a dick!

  • Comment removed

  • @dimpledick3inch You obviously have an IQ of about minus 10

  • @dimpledick3inch even a low class person like you could show some respect

  • @dimpledick3inch that is so unkind

  • good voice....so bad she died so young.....and I discovered it only in 2006, almost after 10 yrs she passed away........

  • What a beautiful song from a beautiful singer! RIP Nicolette.

  • I just noticed that he's was pregnant during this performance.

  • @LUDWIGPARIS Correction: SHE was pregnant. Just caught that mistake.

  • She was already loosing her great voice; I miss Lotta Love...

  • this song is making me sad. I miss Nicolette :(

  • Man what a head of hair she had! No extensions on that head ;)

  • Outstanding interpretation of this song. Did she ever release it? It should have been a HUGE hit for her. Probably her best song ever. RIP, dear angel.

    Gran concerto e splendida voce.

Ho saputo della sua morte pochi giorni fa ma la sua voce è ancora viva.

    Addio Nicolette.

  • Stupenda Nicolette continui a farci sognare...

    Blue Skies

  • nicolette ti vogliamo bene!

  • We lost her way to early, she now sings with the angels. R.I.P. Nicollette you will always be missed!. Thanks for posting!

  • ....possa la tua voce unirsi agli angeli...e accompagnarci nelle nostre tristezze......Riposa nella pace di Dio ....ti voglio bene Nicolette

  • Una donna dolcissima e una splendida interpretazione. Ti ricorderemo sempre, Nicolette.

  • This is fabulous. The orchestra rises up to the occassion in a big way. Love how she works her feet. Thanks for this exceptional post.

  • PPPfff so nice , in two days ,, I play this song 5 times a day , and every time I heard differents things in it, great orchestra , the sax solo mmmm , acoustic gitar riffs and more ,, and of course this voice",, that I hear on 'FOUR STRONG WINDS" with Neil Young , so nice that I go find out who that was , and yessss ,,,Nicolette C,,,for me the best womans voice, after I discovered Eva Cassidy- both rest in peace , what a lost ,

    a prof drummer from Holland.

  • @johndy7 very nice comment..........

  • @NAMDOG54 thanks for your comment namdog54 ,, but all the credits are for Nicolette,,

  • wow.sleep good nick will see you on the other side babe, while on this plane thanks for the music.

  • We should thank God for the musical gifts he gives us, hopefully in the arms of God to take her home. So later when we get to heaven, we can enjoy hearing sing again.

  • che nostalgia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a wholesome and extremely talented beauty. She is deeply missed.

  • the italian album was ''shadows of love ''. hard to find, and expensive... vinyl only. 2 great songs from it are, '' shadows of love '' and '' let me be the one ''.............

  • @NAMDOG54

i would like to hear some songs from her 1987 italian release.

too bad she never had a top 40 pop song in the mid to late 1980s.

  • @The096757 there is a tribute site on the web that has ( or had ? ) the song ''shadows of love'' and you can download it, that's how I got that one.

  • Tears are falling when I play "The angels rejoyced last night" .... Rip from Belgium, Nicolette !

  • No. This song is the english version of an italian song "Io e mio padre" written by singer songwriter Grazia Di Michele and taken part at

Festival Di Sanremo in Italy in 1990. Sorry for the bad English.

  • How did she pass away?

  • nicolette passed away from cerebral edema in december of 1997..........

  • If she was fake and couldn't sing like all of the Britneys she would have been more popular.

  • As a sad sign of the times we are in now, I believe you are right.... She sure was beautiful.

  • I´m a mexican guy, Nicolette was a part of my childhood and in my life, i'm 51 and I just want to wish her GOD BLESS YOU NICOLETTE:::::::!

  • She'd be 57 if still alive today 7-17-09 Friday. 45 was way too young to die. I'll listen to the 4 LP's and one CD I have today. Celebrate her music !.

  • Extraordinaria voz y talento, tambien la cancion es muy buena. Que en paz descanses querida Nicolette.

  • What can you say about one of the most beautiful songs ever? Love it like mad..sorry we lost her..

  • WOW, how beautiful, can't stop playing this video.

  • WOW,how beautiful was that, just love it.

  • buena canción muy linda...

  • thats by far the most beautiful voice i've ever heard

  • @bachrock1 Yes i love her voice as well and you are entitled to your own opinion, but the most incredible voice in music belongs to none other then the Queen herself,,,Ann Wilson. and she still dosen't seem to have lost any of it.

  • @MASONFSJR But Ann is a fat pig and Nicolette was a beauty. Ann is also an ignorant liberal moron

  • @kellykinsellives Ann is fat and you're a dip shit, what has politics got to do with ones ability to sing and besides, most in the entertainment industry are liberals, Ann Wilson was just as fine as Nicolette at one time, look at the cover of the little Queen Album, but even that has little to do with the fact that she, Ann has a thyroid problem you ignorant asshole,Beside Ted Nugent is a Bias RIGHT WING ASSHOLE LIKE YOU SO BE HAPPY THE SCALES ARE BALANCED,me, I don't give a damn about politics.

  • @MASONFSJR thyroid condition?? Ha Ha I bet you are a fat pig too!

  • Comment removed

  • @kellykinsellives Little dick you're one of those sexually repressed people that cruse this site trying to start an argument, but one thing I can assure you of is this, I am your superior both mentally and physically, guys like you shrink when I swing through a locker room, yes you damn right I'm hung like a Mexican donkey, and if I smell like one I can make a woman shit like one, make her bleed like a virgin, and I can make your mama leave your daddy, shake the piss off your finger, and shut up!!!!

  • @MASONFSJR You are obviously a delusional arrogant moron who thinks he is god's gift to women but actually is a joke and tool. Or you are the exact opposite, a loser who wants to portray himself as something that he is not. Either way, do you think I care either way? I pretty sure you are a fat loser because my "pig"comment has struck a nerve with you and I bet it hit personally to you, right fatty?

Also intellectually I am much smarter than you. All you have done is try to insult me, amateur

  • @kellykinsellives LOOK,little boy you're still in High School and if you're lucky enough to graduate in this economy you may get hired at Mcdonalds They're looking 80,000,WalMarts or a Garage some where I had never said anything to you, you are the one that started this, you threw the first insult now you're trying to flip the script,You are a republican working class slob, aren't you,While I graduated with Two major degress and retired at Forty from one of the largest Engineering Firms so suck it

  • @MASONFSJR once again you are wrong, idiot. I am not in high school and I work in silicon valley

at one of the top companies in the world. So I can put my education and work experience up against yours any day of the week. What company did you retire from IBM,GE,.. you know one of those old timer companies.

You reitred probably because no new high tech company would want an old fart like you working for them

  • @kellykinsellives Look son I'm not going to dignify your statement with an other public display,oh and by the way its spelled Retired not, (Reitred) you do know your computer has a spell check, oh brilliant one. no wonder they're out sourcing. You work in Silicon Valley California, does you credentials include goo gobbler. more then likely it does, and try proof reading you're supposed to know how to do that aren't you.

  • @MASONFSJR Direct quote from your post "does you credentials".

HA Ha you are such an idiot! You criticize me for not using spell check and in the same message you use

wrong grammar!! Geez, this is too easy. I knew I was smarter than you but you are so dumb you are not even a challenge

  • @kellykinsellives Yet you keep challenging. You know if you're so smart why don't you do as I'm try to do and end this foolish conflict, its a dishonor to the others that use this site and memory of Nicolette, but you're a goo gobbler, I won't read anymore of your trivial asinine stuff, I erased the last. Don't pat yourself on the back so quickly, you haven't, won anything you Gay's are big on such stuff, I just feel this public display of our combined ignorance is a pointless waste of intellect.

  • @kellykinsellives So far as my weight is concerned, that's 185. Why don't you ask someone who's much smarter then yourself what 5729.578,I'll tell you it is the constant for one degree of curvature or R,being the Radius divided by 5729.578 would get you,or Delta over two; these are Engineering constants for computation of a basic Curve, but if you're really on my level we can discuss Spirals or Thermal Dynamics, okay study hard now.

  • @MASONFSJRI have masters in engineering/math.So don't think you are impressing me by reciting a constant number used in a simple equation. These are math questions I did in high school. Why don't you tell me the the characteristic equations of the bipolar transistor and FET transistors. What theorum determines the sampling frequency to reconstruct an analog signal from a digital one? What is the sinc wave and how does it apply to engineering? Here is a simple one what are maxwells equations?

  • drudifuenza, thank you for posting this wonderful concert piece. We miss her....

  • CainAlexVA, I like your post, but perhaps for her I would be tempted to use a different word besides '' dead''. And yes, only half a lifetime is a sad loss.........

  • What a nice addition to the Nicolette Larson library here! If it's 1990, then she's about 38 years old in this performance. Seven years later, in 1997 December, she would be dead. What a loss. Please post more video from this concert, please!

  • she sing only this song.....she was pregnant when was invited in this show.
