My fave song from Graceland. If you ever have the chance to travel to Africa don't miss it please. My only warning is it is very hard to go just once! I have been on 3 safaris in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Hunters do more for the economy of rural Africans than any other forgien exchange except maybe diamonds and gold. But if you don't hunt, to to a game park and take tours. Africa and Africans are as amazing as the natural beauty and wildlife.
@dscowboy10 brother, good that u have been to Africa: but if u think going on Safari with a bunch of other white people & pulling out your Mastercard @ hotels is somehow trickling down into the general population of Native Africans: my friend, You Are Dreaming. u don't hear Paul Simon writing & singing about safaris in South Africa: on the contrary, he is celebrating the poor & forgotten average African, as u should be too, if u love Africa as much as u say you do. ~ttt~
Hey - I agree with you - if you haven't lived in a country then you should keep your mouth shut about it. All well and good to visit SA for a 'secure' 5 star holiday - but they still come back not really understanding it all. God Bless South Africa - the most wonderful place on earth.
Wow, me and my sister saw this onTV back in 1987. We recorded the whole concert on a VHS Video Cassette and watched it many many times. So this music has become a part of my youth and I still love it!
