  • This was very charming. You play beautifully. I love the ballet Giselle and I'm writing a historical novel about French ballet in the 19th century. It's great to hear music like this that might have been played on the piano in Paris Opera rehearsals. Thank you.

  • braaaaaaaaavo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello! my friends and i are thinking of using this piece for a dinner and dance, of cos we'll try to make out this piece in our own way. but can u sent me the audio so i can try and think of the dance steps?

  • Hello There are not so many scores for Ballet. As for this variation socre, I bought the piano reduction in Tokyo. I give you the information below. "Giselle ou les wilis" Ballet-Pantomime en deux Actes de Theophile Gautier et Saint-Georges Version du Theatre National de l'Opera de Paris Revision et Arrangemente de Henri Busser
  • may i know what's the name of this song? only for this song ur playing

i can't seem to find it XP, if u have the track, could you send it to me through email?

  • with new research & evidence Ive uncovered, I believe that this music actually by Riccardo Drigo - the solo was written for the ballerina Elena Cornalba in about 1887.

  • this is so nice.. i love ballet music, it makes me feel so relaxed.

  • Hello! Thank you for your message.

  • could you pretty please send me like just the audio or something??? i like the way you play it and im dancing this solo in my ballet show

  • please can someone send me the notes as in c, d,b sharp type thing for this?

  • it`s a bit vertical- -the way you play it.

Even Minkus deserves to be played with a bit of love!

  • Please say especially Minkus!

    Thanks for the comment!

  • That's really awesome!

  • music - this solo was written by Minkus for the ballerina Emma Bessone when she danced "Giselle" in Petipa's 1884 revival at the Mariinsky. It was later resurrected by Olga Spessivtseva when she danced with the Ballet Russe in Paris in, I think, 1921.

  • oh just a note - another possibility is that the solo was written by Cesare Pugni for Adele Grantzow in 1868. Minkus revised Adam's music extensively for Petipa's 1884 revival of "Giselle", and this may be why he is so often credited for it. Bessone may have merely taken it back out years later.

  • I always thought it was Adolphe Adam?

  • Thank you so much for all the info! Isn't Le Corsaire also VERY often miscredited because so many different composers contributed to it or something?

  • you have obviously know what your talking about, which company do you work for?

  • that's really beautiful!

  • Wow it's played beautfully.^^

  • So beautiful! I love ballet music! I wish I can play this tune, too.

  • Thank you for your comment.

    Giselle is my favorite.

  • I love this music! It was in Wishing Stairs when So Hee was dancing, thanks for the beautiful music.

  • giselle my favorite ballet ever

  • もうちょっとなめらかにー 笑 いい曲ですねえ 私balletやってまぁす^^

  • what's the title of this song and who composes it? thanks!

  • This piece of music appears in the ballet "Giselle" as a variation in act one.The term "variation" means a solo dance part in ballet. It has no title. But if you say Giselle's variation in act one, ballet fans will know this music. Whereas "Giselle" is composed by Adolphe Adam, this variation has been added by Russian Ballets. Its composer is not known for sure. But probably it was written by L.Minkus.

  • thanks for the info!

  • Adolphe Adam wrote Giselle

  • yes, but certain parts were written by burgemiller and possibly minkus

  • ...GISELLE!!! :O
