  • i accidentaly scratched my friends soft top widow. the seem to very minor scratches (i drew a picture in his window after he had gone mudding, i was drunk and being dumb) would this method work the same for somthing like that or would u recomend somthing else?

  • That looks great. I have an 80 CJ-5 and the windows are in good shape but a buffing like that would make it nicer.

  • Olive what you dud with the jeep widows. Got any good suggestions for deep scratches on paint and plastic?

  • any kind of wax will work

  • you can buff the tinted jeep soft widows the person that said you caint dont know what thay are talkin about

  • Someone asked earlier if these products will work on tinted plastic windows. My Jeep top has tinted windows so I need to know if they will cause damage. Thanks.

  • @redwood1966 - Don't try to Buff the Tint...However, Usually Tinting is on the inside of the window. You should be working on the outside of the window. Just like head lights, the weather damage and oxidation happens outside...

  • @ECarsHawaii so yes or no i have the same tj in the vid but black w/ 31% tint on my best top factory replacement (black denim) so yes or no? thx every one

  • Where can you buy those products at? Are there any other products sold at the auto parts store that'll work?

  • You can buy Glare Spider (used as the final sealant) at glare(dot)com. MX-7 metal polish is only available in stores right now. I am hearing it might be available online sometime this year. Try any metal polish that has real jewelers rouge. Thanks for watching our videos. ~ E Cars Hawaii

  • Wow , I would have never been able to even come up with that. You are very clever. I drive several wranglers and this trick will be most very is useful .w

  • What pads are you using?

  • @str8rage. We are using a Dewalt Rotary Buffer with a Napa 4 ply Wool Pad followed by a Napa Speedy Foam Pad. Hope this helps.

  • Would this work on tinted windows?

  • this was awesome i got a problem just like this before and i spend lot of moneu changing a new 1 but now their alread a solution thanks for uploading

  • Thanks for the Comment! We will try to keep the knowlege rolling for you. Damage is caused by both UV light and Oxidation. The other cause is the person's car care product for the plastic (terry clothe will be harsher on the plastic than a microfiber towel or an Absorber Chamois).

  • WOW! Wish YouTube was around when I had my jeeps 15 years ago. Thank you guys for sharing this! It looks almost brand NEW. Awesome! What causes this damage? UV light from the sun or just oxidation over time?
