My roommate in uni was Jamaican, my good friends at uni were Jamaicans, but that still doesn't change the fact that 20% of adults are illiterate and 15% semi-illiterate... and (they haven't even checked the children yet), so you can imagine what the numbers as a whole country would be like. The truth is hard to swallow, but you know as well as I do that a lot of the country falls into one of those categories.
