  • she is really good at explaining everything comparing to the other guru's that only show you the steps but dont explain WHY they do those steps! Thanks you! This video is very helpful.

  • i have hooded eyes and it used to annoy me that i couldn't wear eyeshadow without my eyes looking weird or even smaller but it's just the technique that has to change and once you get the hang of how to work with your own eye shape you can create some pretty looks :) thanks for the tips!

  • Finally someone WITH hooded eyes that shows the people of YouTube how to do this =D

  • Thank you soooo much for doing this!! I just discovered that I have hooded eyes today and had always thought I was just crap at doing contouring as I could never acheive the looks that I attempted. After watching this, I can't wait to pull out my palettes and start creating awesome eyes. Im an aussie too so its nice to see some tutorials on youtube in the good old aussie accent.

  • thank you so much for sharing .

  • I agree. It looks great. Love that palette ur using. Does that Inglot palette have a name?

  • That is really good! Your eyes definitely look more open after the makeup. I have partically hooded eyes and also have old eyes with wrinkles so I have even more problems. I'm going to try your method and see if it will work on my eyes. I hope they look half as good as yours. :) Thanks for this. There was a lot of information here. :) I am subbed to you but rarely see a video from you. :/

  • Hi, this was very informative, have you ever heard of a product called Instant Eye Lift by Eye Magic, its perfect to help with this, it lifts your upper eyelids without surgery!

  • this was such a helpful video.... :) thanks

  • thank u so much... U have helped me out big time, cuz that have been one of my biggiest problem is my hooded eyelids. thank u and u look so freakin BEAUTIFUL..

  • This video made me realize I have hooded eyes

  • Very helpful!

  • Great video...thanks!!

  • This is the best best best tutorial I have found for hooded eyes! Thank you!

  • THANK YOU for this video! Packed with so much useful and right info! I had to do a cut crease on my hooded eyes for make up school and I had one teacher tell me to do it on my (small) natural crease (you could barely see the crease/contour) and another teacher telling me to do it higher up on my socket but I messed it all up and I managed to make my eyes look droopier. I have had so many people tell me hooded eyes are the hardest to make up so I better practise good on myself!

  • Finally got it right, thanks hun.

  • best video for hooded eyes, thanks.

  • yur sooo amazing u told all reason y I mess up

  • wow, your eyes are almost like mine, i really appreciate this video, i've always struggle getting my eyeshadow to look good but this helps. thanks

  • Love how you do ur makeup!! I have hooded eyes as well, you really helped me out =) I was just wondering how you got ur eyebrows so perfect?! I love them =P

  • Amazing! I loved your video I also have hooded eyes and wonderd why certain looks did not look the same when I recreated them on myself. Thank you so much for the tips looking forward to watching all your videos. :D

  • Best video for hooded eyes that I have seen! You're amazing! Thank you!

  • Thank you SO much for making this video! I've watched so many videos on this it's ridiculous! 99% of the people doing the videos don't even have hooded eyes and the other 1% have very slightly hooded eyes. Would the same rules apply for close, deep-set eyes? I have to be careful how much I use lighter colors because they make me look too washed out and sickly.

  • Great video & very helpful :)

  • what do you recomend for darker skin..my eyes are really droopy..thanks

  • @kaikobiseli you could use the same technique just use brighter or darker colours. you could even try using a white base first so your shadow stands out. nyx jumbo pencil in milk is an affordable option xx

  • Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. I'm going to watch it several more times. Love the accent!

  • @oglesbysb lol, so glad u like the vid, do I have an accent? (just kidding) xxx

  • great video. what pencil brush are you using?

  • @shesheface Its by Crown Brush, Im not sure of the number because they dont have anything written on them but they are from the "italian badger" collection, hope this helps xxx

  • This is SO helpful!!! Thank you!!!

  • @24makeupforever your welcome xxx

  • @hollyd420 thank you for watching xxx

  • I love the look. u made it look so easy

  • @aplusblonde thank you! Im glad u liked it xxx

  • Hi msmadame! I dropped by again, idk if you remember me! It's so cute the way you explain. Sorry I didn't reply last time, I did go to checkout sleek MU, but I didn't like it. I don't think I can work in blending their matt shadows :(

  • @W0MANiTY oh really? you find them hard to blend? thats a shame cause they have some cool colours and they are pretty cheap. did you end up trying something else ?

  • useful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pigmaetna great!

  • I wasn't able to watch the video all the way through - too much self-dialogue that I was completely uninterested in listening to in order to get to the information you were trying to impart. Sorry. :(

  • @msayianna no problem, I do tend to ramble on quite a bit, lol xxx

  • @Rachounette82 no problem, glad you liked it xxx

  • Great tutorial!

What is the name of that palette?

  • @Sheenablackcat Its by Inglot, You buy the palette then pick the colours you want in it. Ive made videos for all of my inglot palettes, swatches, numbers, etc

  • @msmadamemakeup Oh, you sure picked them well :-) I'll be checking out your other videos. Thank you so much.

  • @nottambula79 thank you, Im happy you found it too x

  • This was a huge help! Thank you so much!!!!

  • @CraftZombie thats great, thx for watching xx

  • Off to check your channel listing! Thanks again!

  • Thank you! Like others have mentioned - I have struggled over the years doing my eye makeup. It would look good when my eyes were closed but disappeared once I opened my eyes!. The tip about applying color above the crease completely makes sense. This post was especially helpful to watch you apply as you have hooded eyes. Thank you for taking the time to post this! I would love to know the colors you have in your Inglot palette! I just discovered them & am working on a wishlist.

  • @lov2read68 thank you, Im so glad this video was helpful to some of you. I actually made a few videos showing swatches and all of the names of the colours in my inglot palettes. I did one for my neautrals, one for coloured eye shadows, and one for blushes and pressed powder. Just go to my channel and scroll down the list of videos. You will see them somewhere in the bottom half of the list xxx

  • Finally!!! I have found someone (you!) who has shown me the easy, proper way to shadow hooded eyes! I've been on YT for a LONG time and have just never found anyone who could show me as well as you have done how to apply e/s to my droopy eyes. Thank you so much for doing this! I think I can actually make my eyes look good now! :) You're very good at explaining technique so I can understand what I'm supposed to do. It's been so frustrating for me I've almost given up trying. I subbed! :) ♥ Liz

  • @LizKS48 Thank you! This is such an awesome comment! Im so glad this video was helpful, especially since I know there are a lot of hooded eyes tutorials here on utube so Im so happy that you think this one helpful xxxx

  • Oh and shimmery make-up does make me look horrible, it just makes it look like there's so much packed on; which is why I hate them and love matt. still saving up for inglot palettes though. I can afford them over MAC.

  • @W0MANiTY me too ! lol. Have you tried sleek? They have some great palettes and are very affordable. I like that they contain a lot of matte colours too xxx

  • I was wondering why all the makeup tutorials did not work for me. And so I learnt I have hooded eyes. But the problem is that one of my eye has a smaller fold than the other ughh. this helped me alot; I shall practise. Thank you.

  • @W0MANiTY great! Im glad it was helpful. Im going to do another one soon for one of my subbies, for partially hooded eyes, this might be help ful to you too so keep an eye out xxx

  • that was the most helpful tutorial for hooded eyes so far for me. THANK YOU so much! I try to practise that now.

  • @mossgreenmaid Thats great, Im so glad you like it. Sometimes I worry that Im not explaining things properly so Im glad! xx

  • @msmadamemakeup where can i buy that inglot palette? i cant seem to find it on the website?

  • Thank you for this great tutorial.

  • @knitnpaint your very welcome xxx

  • Yaaaay for this tute!:) I've found it really hard to apply some looks to my eyes due to our the fold in my eyelids. Thanks so much. I will go and check more of your uploads for a coloured look.. x

  • @Nemogudasesetim Great! So glad you liked it xx

  • where is the palette from?

  • @maddyhasclaws INGLOT xx

  • Great video!!!

  • The problem is that my eyebrows are placed lower than yours so I don't have space on my lid to contour like this :(

But thanks for the advice with color!

  • @netovisnica yes I know what you mean, that does make it harder. You still would need to follow a similar style (as in placement) but the conour would have to be a lot finer. Its very hard because all of our eyes are shaped so different. There might be 5 people with hooded eyes but all still shaped differently. thx for watching xx

  • @msmadamemakeup Thank you very much, you are so kind! Thank you for answering! I tried to follow this tutorial, and I like how it turned out. Subscribed!

  • great job! i subbed.

  • @almaf1221 thank you x

  • I'm so happy that I've watched your video. And it's a look, that I'm going to try definitly on my own hooded eyes! thanks for this wonderful video!!

  • @123Gefion your welcome. Thank you for such a lovely comment xx

  • very useful!

  • @prettymomoz awesome xx

  • so helpful! i get it now. :)

  • @femputer1 lol, YAY!

  • ugh someone pls tell me what hooded eyes are??? >.<

  • @AR13NEx I think I said it in the vid. but its when your eye lid sort of hangs over the 'mobile lid' so it can sort of disappear. When you loook straight ahead in the mirror it can look like your eye lid is sitting almost on top of your lashes. But there are lots of different types pf hooded eyes. partially hooded etc xxx

  • amazing transformation :) I plan on giving this a try soon. thank you!

  • @machobob06 ur very welcome.

  • finally a hooded eye tutorial with _actual_ hooded eyes. like :)

  • @mbori lol, thanks xx

  • @mbori like what? :)

  • @hmfrx like i like this video

  • one of the best hooded eye instructions!

  • @PureHumboldt thank you so much! Ive had some great feedback on this vid. I guess its because I have to do this almost everyday lol xx

  • @distinque18 you can email me anytime, msmadamemakeup@bigpond.com xxxx sounds like its partially hooded.

  • @distinque18 umm, not really sure exactly what you mean but if you look straight ahead into a mirror and your eye lid sort of sits almost on your lashes (the crease disappears) this is a hooded eye. sometimes you can have a partially hooded eye, eg the outer half. hop[e this helps xx

  • Great tutorial, especially the dark shadow at outer top lid and under the lower lash line. I found also that you actually look younger with make up, as most time it ages. The eye contour made the difference. Will be trying this in a couple days. Thanks for sharing.

  • @KissHope no problem, thx for watching xxx

  • i have watched soo many videos and this is absolutely great for explaining the basic technique, i really think i'll be able to follow this now. I never even thought of doing it with my eyes open because it makes me feel like im putting it too high but im off to practise now :)

  • @CtotheRtotheL awesome, let me know how you go xx

  • Wonderful job of explaining how to contour the hooded eye. I do have a couple of suggestions though....one is that you can do" tight lining" of the upper lid. I use a black gel liner and basically line under the lashes instead of above them. That will give you a very thin line and make your lashes look thick. The other suggestion is that you list the makeup that you used in the the section just below your video. Thanks, again...

  • @sueldrsyluvsutube oh thank you for ur suggestions. I have tried the tightlining before, I just have to be careful not to make my eyes look smaller than they already do, lol. I do try to tell everyone what Im using in each vid but if you all think it would be more helpful to list the products im sure I can do that for you. thank you so much for watching and for your suggestions. I always love hearing from u guys xxxxx

  • hi from the uk,i absolutely loved this video im a more mature lady but still love makeup but my eyes have now become hooded and ive noticed my old way of putting shadow on doesn't work for me anymore i cant wait to try your techniques could you please do a tutorial for winged eyeliner for hooded eyes as i love the look but find i can do the technique but when i open my eye the wing is lost hope this makes sense many thanks once again x

  • @coal1603 yes i know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem. I cant make any vids for a couple more weeks but as soon as i do this will be on my list. just make sure you do a really thin line, too thick and ur lid will look as though its gone! lol! then the wing needs to come up a little higher on the side, ppointed up towards ur brow. just a quick tip until i can make a video xxxx

  • @msmadamemakeup thankyou so much for tips will try today, cant wait for tutorial as love the winged look but doesn't look great on me because of hooded eye many thanks for your quick response :)

  • Loved it, very helpful. Thanks :)

  • @suzmapgirl your very welcome xx

  • Good tips!

  • @dinche1 thank you xx

  • Extremely helpful. Thank you!!
