Ric O'Barry was NOT Flipper's trainer. He was hired as an underwater camera specialist and eagerly took he chance to 'babysit' the dolphins inbetween the making of the shots for 'Flipper'. No people were specifically hired to train the dolphins.
Secondly, Ric states that only nets, pollution and captivity kill... Well, dolphins still have the problem of strandings, diseases and predators.
God should have quit before creating humans....the animals do much better without us screwing up their lives! I only hope God, or something, stops us before we utterly wreck the world.
If every human would learn to be compassionate, find the happy medium, there would not be war, violence, over cunssumption, suffering, animal crualty... May all human beings overçome their pain and stop hidding it behing masks! May all human beings find compassion, love, ...within, in their hearts..

of course u don't. many interest groups, cca, and such want u to believe were killing dolphins. the more publicity and the more people they can convince that were killing EVERYTHING, the easier it is to accomplish their goal. end commercial fishing in the US. hope u like imported seafood. yuck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats awesome lets capitivate and kill fish just for peoples viewing pleasure, and to make a dollar off of. at least i kill fish to feed people and not just for entertainment. If nets kill so many dolphins then how come i have never caught one in my 15 years of net fishing.
That is a stupid thing to say "strikenetter." In Taiji Japan they kill as many Dolphins as they can catch. Literally thousands of Dolphins are slaughtered in one tiny cove every year. Dolphins are NOT fish asshole!

Ric O' Barry is an arsehole.
He's done good things.
But he's done horrible things as well.
BAD captivity kills dolphins.
GOOD captivity is absolutely fine, as long as they are treated well, kept happy and stumulated.
And Ric O'Barry was not the ORIGINAL Flipper trainer. He was the Flipper trainer for the series, not the movie. The original "Flipper" was a dolphin named Mitzi down in the Florida Keys. The movie was made based on the relationship with her owner and trainer, Milton Santini.
There is no such thing as good captivity for dolphins (or whales). They live in large families that communicate by sonar, which doesn't work in pools. They also swim miles & miles...how can any pool or roped lagoon replicate that?
Yes, there is. If they are kept in "pod like" situations, in natural lagoons, it is a good captivity. If there is no option of being released, and they are getting optimum care and attention and stimulation every day, then it is a good captivity. Do I prefer dolphins wild? Absolutely. But dolphins in a GOOD captive situation isn't a bad thing. They have helped people in so many ways. Not to mention, they're strong, intelligent animals. If they didn't want to do something, they wouldn't.
Can you rephrase that? I got lost in the incorrect spelling of wonderful (unless you were trying to exaggerate wonder and full as separate entities), and the unnecissary !!!!!!!!! and ?????? and ? in the middle of a sentence.
When they all lean over the individual, no one seems to take their time to actually pay attention to or communicate with them. There should always be one (and the same) person at the dolphins head who does that, for it gives the animal stability and reassurance.
The truth about Flipper and the accountability from this man took away most of the anger I felt about Flippers demise. At least she didn't die for nothing. If he'd made excuses, or tried to pass the buck, I'd be more angry still. But he didn't make excuses, he accepted responsibility and corrected. Very well done my man.
i understand that we need some source of meat or fish to survive. i am not a vegetarian, but i do think it's cruel how we treat such majestic animals such as these. i think that if we are going to kill an animal, it would be better if we put them to sleep so they wont feel as much pain. besides, i dont think that dolphin meat is good for you at all.
wow - humans are cruel

Whats the white liquid stuff they spread on the dolphin?

It's a oil free sunblock to protect the dolphin while it's exposed to the sun during transport.
