  • I'm sorry, but this isn't the best version of her theme. I like it, but the original arcade version is the best in my perspective. My honest opinion, but i didn't dislike it.

  • @fawful27 This is the original arcade version

  • @TheDRexor No it isn't sorry.

  • @fawful27 Oh snap you're right! Super street fighter 2 first came out on CPS2

  • @TheDRexor Yes sir

  • MARK ON! SPIN DRIVE SMASHER!

  • Exercise music

  • thrust kick

  • cannon drill

  • its funny how they had to make an old cps1 theme for her since she was not on the original version and t hawk deejay and fei long

  • @courageous917

I know what you're saying, but the themes weren't made for HSFII or any other game so much as they were "auto-downported" for the Sharp X68000 version of SSFII due to its limited sound capabilities (it can play CPS1 sound just fine, but not CPS2), as Capcom's arcade games at that time were made using that same computer. Therefore, the CPS1 versions technically existed as late as Sept. 1994.

This, however, doesn't explain Akuma. Was his theme in that game's code?

  • WATCH OUT HE'S GOT A SANDWICH!! Lol The Street Fighter Collob

  • The CPS1 made you FEEL the music.

  • I must be an oddity here, lol, i prefer the CPS2 version, this one sounds like a little messy and the instruments sound less defined and it doesn't seem as catchy somehow. But that's just my opinion.

  • @CosmoBuggi No you aren't. I prefer the CPS2 version too, and for the same reasons.

But in my humble opinion, the best version is Super Street Fighter 2 X. I found it thanks to a TAS video of Akuma/Gouki.

  • Her background stage looked pretty gorgeous, fighting on a castle rampart. Though where exactly in England could you see the Northern Lights that time of day? :P

  • @ShadowBaofu I don't know what moron thought the Northern Lights can be seen in England.

I know the Japanese can be ignorant of other countries but Jesus.

  • @ojideagu Uh the Aurora can be seen anywhere it's just different colours.

  • @spike007980 I'm English, nobody ever goes to see them in England. They are seen in

Scandinavia or the North Pole, not England.

  • @ojideagu Well sorry for invading your comfort zone.

  • HIYAHHH (later became spin knuckle) PLARLALLO (Later became spiral arrow)

KANNA SPLAL (later became cannon spike : )

  • I like this better than the CPS2 version. it sounds more raw and serious.

  • 1 person had their face remodelled by cammy

  • 1 guy got his teehts punched out by cammy

  • This is my favorite version!

  • x68000 version???

  • @Shadosw4 Only for the hyper street fighter disk. They was even a fan service drawing of a remake poster of the street fighter 2 drawing but with the new challengers

  • MARK ON! SPIN DRIVE SMASHER!

  • Liking the drum part @ 00:47-00:54

  • that sexy ass Cammy

  • If Cammy had been in the CPS1 era games, her theme wouldn't have sounded as bad as this.

  • I love this theme on the cps1 hardware! the fidelty is a bit lower, but what it lacks in fidelity it More than makes up for with that nice thick Bass Punch

  • Her street fighter verison got a heavy metal feel

  • cps1 music sounds like it wood be on the Sega gen.

  • Holy dicks I didn't even know this song had a hi-hat in the background.

Thumbs up for high fucking quality, even in 360p

  • @Renegade466isback

Some element of failure on my part I admit, I was unaware that Capcom had created "CPS1" versions of CPS2 only themes for AE.

Some element of failure on you're part too for failing to disclose such in the description pane.

  • @Owwmykneecap Double fail-- it says the anniversary edition in the video.

  • @mmmmmarcus

Yes but the cps 1 version isn't in the arcade anniversary edition, which was why i believed it was incorrect. It was never labeled as being the home version

  • @Owwmykneecap I literally lol'd at this comment

  • @Owwmykneecap

    What.

  • too much fail. It's obvious that this song is in the CPS1 soundfont. The over all bassy-ness proves it.

  • I like this much better than cps2 has a nice sound to it.

  • Wow, that was actually really nice of Capcom to give us CPS 1 themes of The New Challengers.

  • @arturosuken36 Well it actually originates from the sharp X68000 port of Super Street Fighter 2. The Sharp X68000 pretty much has the same sound system as the CPS1 though.

  • Well, this is interesting.

  • hmm... what t-square song is this?

  • Capcom should give the post-II characters CPS1 arrange versions of their themes.

  • @TriggerheartExcelica They have. They are all on Hyper Street Fighter 2.

  • @David315842 I meant the characters after the II series. Alpha and III-3rd in particular.

  • @TriggerheartExcelica People could do re-mixes of those. But the thing was Capcom could only produce those games on the CPS2 system, as it was more advance and I doubt the CPS1 system could have handled the data, especially with Street Fighter 3. That's why they made the upgrade to CPS2.

  • @David315842 I just want to hear CPS1-like renditions of new music.

  • @David315842

Street Fighter 3 was on CPS3

  • @eiji11 If you read what I said. I said that CPS1 wouldn't have handled Street Fighter 3's capabilities.

  • @David315842 yeah the way you're wording it is incorrect. Why mention CPS1 and then mention Street Fighter 3? Thats pretty obvious considering you just said Super Street Fighter II couldn't run on CPS1.

  • @eiji11 I was using Street Fighter 3 as an example of how advanced Capcom's games have gotten. Excues me for having autism!

  • @TriggerheartExcelica They have on Hyper Street Fighter 2.

  • @David315842 That or the idea wasen't really popular enough with Capcom to come to pass.

  • Comment removed

  • I like how they gave the SSF 2 chars. CPS1 arrangements of their stage themes.

  • @youcantubeittoo so was this the one on the original arcade version or was that the CPS2 version, b/c (correct me if I'm wrong) isn't the CPS1 the OST of SF2....like the first one with only 8 characters?....and CPS2 sounds like the SS2 versions

  • Im probably the only person that does this but..when the heavy hit music plays I always have to pull out the best combos or end it w/ a super. Its like an adrenaline rush for me.

  • This should the British national anthem should sound like!

  • @jnorth I agree!

  • Sounds like sega megadrive music.

  • @kiltsonfire164 both mega drive and cps1 have FM Synthesizers, just a little different from each other.

  • Themes of the original 12 charachters are better in CPS1 but the new 4 are better in CPS2...

  • The CPS1 original are generally more bleepy bloopy than the CPS2 arrangements, but the bass on the CPS1 board absolutely blows away what the CPS2 version uses.

I like most of the CPS1 versions better. Akuma's CPS1 theme sounds horridly out of tune, and *maybe* I like Fei-Long's CPS2 theme more than his CPS1 theme.

p.s.: What the hell were they thinking when they composed Vega's CPS2 theme? I mean srsly.

  • Cammy is a femme fatale and the music is super!! Cammy 4life!!

  • PAY ATTENTION

  • a friend of mine used to enjoy seeing Cammy's boob bounce when she is in her stance. lol

  • GYRO DRIVE SMASHER!!!!!!

  • pussy in your face smasher

  • Ha ha your funny. You said pussy in your face. Ha ha

  • dis izzz tight

  • i love this version so much.

  • "Your missing teeth will remind me of my victory"

  • @figment1988

    Ow! That hurt lady!

  • From Great Britain, Cammy

  • ewewq

  • My favourite themes are Ken, Chun-Li, Balrog, Vega, Fei-Long and Cammy.

  • CANNON DRILL!

  • THRUST KICK!

  • SPIRAL ARROW!

  • CANNON SPIKE!

  • SPIN DRIVE SMASHER!

  • BEAT IT!

  • @ultragamer89 (Super Activated sounder)

    SPIRAL ARROW CANNON SPIKE!

  • CANNON DRILL!

  • This version is too good.
