Maybe I am being too harsh. I have no real reason to judge him. It's just an unexplainable reaction. And yes, Alan does just stand there doesn't he. Not exactly a showman.
@CSavageSr What is he supposed to do, stand there and be boring like Alan Parsons? Awesome band but boring as crap to watch. At least the Guitarist moves about a bit...
These guys been chugging along 40+ years and damn they still rock to all hell....like BOC they have their own style that can never be emulated by anyone.
wow i remember this song from when i was a kid and still love it all though i am a death metal head from hell...but these guys i bet can put on 1 hell of a concert
@Skip775 to me, what tells me I have good musical appreciation: I love death metal, the Beatles, Zep,Beach Boys, Zombie(early) Marilyn, 3 Days Grace, Garth, Travis, good music is good music, screw the genre
Alan has a really good singing voice. He didn't do much singing on any of his albums. Maybe some back-up. It's a real treat to hear the master himself finally.
I was there! was on my way to Germany went through Luxemburg found out App was playing bought last minute tickets it was amazing. They make some of the most unique best sounding music out there.
One of the best phone cam live concert videos on YouTube. Most are crap and lousy grainy video and terrible sound, but this cliip captures the rarest rock band of them all who rarely performs in concert, if at all. Alan Parsons does an excellent job on the vocals and piano / synthesizer arrangements as I love this video. RIP Eric as we all love and miss you.
Although I would prefer to see Eric Woolfson perform the lead vocal on this, Alan Parsons does the closest thing to Eric's sound.
Ironically, I had originally reasoned that it would be Alan Parson on lead vocal of The Alan Parson Project. I was dissapointed when I found I was wrong. Now however I would prefer to see Eric do it.
Where the hell is Bairnson?? I'm outta here.

Mr. Parsons is one of those musical geniuses cursed with a tin ear. This seems almost like a mockery of the song.

@johntechwriter
Agreed. Another that springs to mind based on your words, AND the vocal performance here is Roger Waters.

I respect this lineup. I hate Allister Greene. He tries to be a star at Alan's exspense. Joe and the others I totally respect.

@Dogface276 Emulation is one of the sincerest forms of flattery, so it will be done. Maybe not as well, but done nonetheless.

2nd most famous song at sports event behind Queen in my opinion, aside from just being a good song.

Alan is the only constant member of the band. Vocalists change all the time throughout the bands career sometimes even on the same album.
