Thanking you for the comment, I apologize, but I don't understand well the meaning of "guitarchitecture", so I am not able to answer ... Forgive my ignorance, sorry.
However, I obviously agree on the greatness of Garson and on the skill of Leonard, definitely.
@theMusicofmyLife1 In the studio track _Ashes To Ashes_ Bowie used Chuck Hammer to provide "guitar textures" in Hammer's "Guitarchitecture" guitar-synth style. He also used it on _Teenage Wildlife_. In the live shows from the "A Reality" tour Bowie used Earl Slick and Gerry Leonard. I'm just wondering at the 15th October 2003 show at "Ahoy Rotterdam" if Slick was playing the "guitarchitecture" sounds or if it was Gerry Leonard. I think it's Leonard but I'm not sure!
This old rocker still knows how to entertain people....I was a little boy when he came with Ziggy and ever since i followed his music......and he still looks the same btw..Then to think he was around when glitter rock came up...He is of a total different caliber than say...all those other from that time.
Perhaps only time reveals fully the authentic talent of an artist, well beyond the artificial models continually proposed for young people: the taste for beauty is perhaps more important than how we think in the invasive and futile game of appearances, because (somehow) is substance.
All I can say is fantastic! Never got too much out of fan recorded vids. Most are unfocused and too shakey but this is a excellent fan vid. A little moving but not bad. Understandable. It's Bowie. I would be wired too. But very nice. Thank you for posting.
I realize that the poor quality of these videos is hardly acceptable, just first for me, sorry. I thought a lot before posting ... Then, some friends encouraged me.
You hit the point: they are more interesting to those who already familiar DB and could share a moment of joy in this "curiosity" of other versions. Also because the "Reality" is for many of us a great reference.
The true artist longs to share his opera with similars, being his work a formidable communication's mean, even if (after finishing it) should occur detachment. And it's properly in this detachment that is possible to be ironic on oneself and on life. Bowie, for me, is master of irony, so much is evident his fun of singing, sincere, rousing, fresh. Like children, his energy is purely concentrated in the game: there is nothing else than the moment's authenticity.
This is just so wonderful, such a great song and truly enjoyable performance, so funny, a pure delight watching our favorite hero letting the little boy inside out to play for a while. Thanks so much for sharing this. : )
For me it's one of the greatnesses of a human being will not hide or turn off the light of the child in ourselves. It would perhaps like to betray a primeval purity, to forget a way to be here interpreting the Divine Comedy with the simple joy of living in heart's lightness, without any fear of others' gaze. Free.
Carol, my friend, you are a wonderful playmate. And also David LOL
Garson makes this one! Also I'm guessing it's Gerry Leonard with the "guitarchitecture"?

Many thanks to you.
I enjoyed watching it, also for sharing it .
This light-hearted version of Bowie, with the improvisational of surprise ending, more than ever (for me) reveals the temperament of David.
