  • I don't even like soccer but that was sexy as hell

  • Like a pro!

  • 230 km/h ;-)

  • OHH LAWD

  • lord have mercy

  • brilliant player played well at chelsea aswell

  • another player discovered by leeds like cantona and yeboah

  • Dude, Jimmy floyd Hasselbaink is my uncle (:

I saw his in real life he is awesome.

  • not perfect.incorrect title..

  • Any defender worth their wages would do everything possible stop Jimmy from taking a shot at goal. How he got so much power AND precision with every shot is extraordinary.

  • how on earth did he hit it so damn hard.. ohhh

  • ronaldo freekick vs portsmouth got voted best freekick in prem history

im sorry but this shits all over all ronaldo's (except CL vs ars) :)

and im a man utd fan!!

  • The crossbar is still shaking as I type this.

  • If it was perfect, it'd be top corner, not plain crossbar. Good goal though.

  • Press 5 then 3 it sounds like "Tickle me" "NOOO!"

  • This is insane.

  • His freekicks are better than C.Ronaldo's. But I still think Juninho is king.

  • @DeeoftheWhy3

Look man, i dislike CRonaldo as much as anyone, but dont talk shit. Pls compare the amount of FKs JFH has scored compared to CRonaldo. Juninho is the king of course.

  • he should come back and start playing again!!

  • @NewVegasJingleJangle shut up wid ur dum comments

  • It's because he's black

  • It's what everyone used to chant at him. Don't know if it was meant affectionately or not...

  • @Itsaliarromeo I always thought it was affectionate.. remember him laughing at the chant in one home game.

  • Classic Jimmy, Chelsea legend!

  • probably best free kick eva, only a short run up like the other guy said and he hit it so hard it was just bouncing around in the back of the net

  • is that frankie boyle commentating

  • OH-MY-FUCKING-GOD!

    just fantastic!

  • good goal but the keeper can save it ;pp

  • "Fat Eddie Murphy!" Always remembr him coming off the bench to knock 3 past Wolves. Great player.

  • @matthewhill01 fat? are you having a laugh?

  • @SoooBlue you never heard the chants directed at him then?

  • @matthewhill01 Not saying there weren't chants, I'm saying that he's not fat.

  • wow!

  • great strike from big jimmy

  • why are City playing in their away kit at home?

  • what a drive

  • 3 people couldn't follow the ball.

  • 3 people couldn't follow the ball..

  • Why are city wearing their away kit at home? You can see all the light blue shirts behind the goal

  • When one considers how hyped up players are today, most of them are not fit to lace Jimmy's boots. Just think; today, one good cross, a good pass, a good shot, and suddenly a player becomes world class or a 'hot young talent'. In today's money, how much would Jimmy be worth?

Certainly the most under rated player in my generation.

  • @truthoutmedia

Well said, mate. I'd take Jimmy in his prime anyday over any striker currently playing in the Premier League. If Jimmy had the players Chelsea have now around him, he'd get probably 35 goals every season.

  • This hit is just un-fucking-believable. he barely took a two step run and still from way out that ball had enough power to reach the moon. listen carefully and you can hear the bang against the post. WHAT A STRIKE

  • @fhaddad3

you dont even need to listen carefully, you could hear it if u were on the ras clot moon

  • The only thing missing here is thousands of fans going balistic behind that goal!

I'm over the moon that he choose to end his career at Cardiff.

    JIMMYYYY!

    x

  • he has by far the best name to commentate a goal to lol

  • I can honestly, as a Liverpool fan, say that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was one of my fav players. So strong, and his goals were amazing.

    /YNWA

  • Jimmy had rocket propelled legs.

  • He was my favourite Boro striker ive seen play for us. Because you knew even if he was 30 yards out he could still bang one in from 30 yards.

  • Would Joe Hart have saved that, no chance. Viduka, Yakubu and Hasselbaink. Will we ever see those days again?

  • @planetrockford We will, it'll probs take a couple of years though. Afterall Gibson is still loaded and once hes payed off the Rockcliffe hall loans he'll have more money to throw at the team.

  • @paulmarwud Hope so, it would be nie to see Jimmy at the club as he is quite an inspiring character which is what they need at the minute.

  • All that power + Still being able to add super curl = Beastly Freekicks.

  • Jimmy Floyd was probably the most under rated player the Premiership has ever seen. Absolute class, definately in the top 10 greatest players of the EPL.

  • @truthoutmedia

And also the most under-rated player of Holland, today, almost nobody knows him in Holland...

  • @28ossie No Hasselbaink isn't the most underrated player of the Netherlands maybe he is one of the most unknown but thats because he never played in the dutch Eredivisie. He started in the dutch second division before moving abroad. He played only just over 20 games for "Oranje" mainly because at that time he just wasn't the best dutch striker( Kluivert, Van Nistelrooy, Bergkamp....). But he was definitely an awesome striker!

  • @willemran and a premier league top scorer x2

  • @willemran

Kluivert was shite compared to Hasselbaink..as soon as he moved from teams that did everything for him( Ajax, Barca etc) and had to go to a team where he just couldn`t stand still and wait for score(Newcastle) he was shit. JImmy nearly kept A. Madrid up by himself scoring 24 La Liga goals for a team that was RELEGATED..imagine if that happened no, not 11 years ago. The praise wouldn`t hold up! Hasselbain did legendary jobs at Chelsea, Boavista and Leeds aswell. He was to old to

  • @boeershna Jimmy was a great player, but nowhere in the league of Kluivert.. Kluivert never was a scoring player (even though he scored quite a lot of goals), but had a great record in assists. You say that at Barca and Ajax the team worked for him. This is untrue. Kluivert especially at Barcelona played with his back to the goal and served Rivaldo and Figo. He as the targetman and played of the ball. At keeping the ball he was the best bar none. After Barca he only had one and a half knee left.

  • @willemran

have an impact at Borio or Charlton..and mainly Cardiff aswell. But still showed bits of class. Imagine him for Chelsea today in his prime. Would score 30 goals in the Prem each year no doubt. 10 times the striker Drogba is. Only thing Drogba does better is track back and help out in defence. But again, not REALLY required from a striker, but still nice to see.

  • @boeershna

I agree accept for some of the Kluivert part, like you said after he left Barcelona (all time topscorer at that time) he never reached his former level, but Kluivert also did some legendary jobs like scoring the only goal in the '95 CL final, and he still is our all time topscorer for the dutch team. But like i said before i really loved Hasselbaink as a striker, but i prefer Kluivert (to be honest as an Ajax fan i might not be that objective ;) )

  • He's the only player in the world i know can take a 40 yard shot at like 100mph from about a 2 step run up, must have leg muscles like a rhino

  • nice

  • why does the wall have only 2 players !? LOL!

  • he is my friends uncle =O

  • This is what happens when you give Jimmy a shot at goal. Doesn't matter if it's 20 yards, 30 yards or even 40 yards.

  • one of the best free kicks ever seen. pure power

  • This is my favourite player in the history of football and this is one of my favourite goals!!! JFH4LIFE

  • Middlesbrough player. Simple quality.

  • wonderful player, i never forget him, example like clarence seedorf, both comes from the country suriname NEVER FORGET JIMY <3!!!!!!

  • Dean Kiely said hes pretty sure Hasselbaink had the hardest shot he ever faced.

  • a great player <3

  • jimmy boom boom

  • Jimmy the hitman hasselbaink!

  • I don't like this guy, but I'm none of those that don't appreciate someone's great goals. What a GOAL! Amazing really.

PS I am referring to those that don't like Michael Ballack and therefore say that his goal against Austria in the Euro Cup 2008 was not awesome. It was absolutely awesome. Just like this one.

  • One of the best free kicks ever that! If greaseball Ronaldo did that Andy Grey would still be going on about it now!

  • absolute legend, that man!

  • @cliffyfromboro A Chelsea legend that is!

  • @cliffyfromboro A Chelsea legend that is!

  • @cfcsteve86 A true Boro legend also. That free kick got us into europe and to the UEFA Cup Final :)

  • from that distance thats very impressive

with that amount of power, that take skill in not blasting in high wide

  • Hasselbaink is a Premier League legend, used to rip nets for fun at Chelsea.

But what I find odd about this game is that... Why are Man City, the HOME team, using their AWAY jersey?

  • @UnknownGenius01 I think it was the next seasons away sprit and used them to advertise probably.

  • the wall there is a little bit useless, isn't it !? :)

  • WOW awesome !!!!

  • there is only one JFH

  • that was some hit

  • lucky as shitttttttttt

  • 0:16 did you see how large is the goal ?

  • @NighThunder15

    Ye its very large

but i think it's optical illusions

(sorry my english is bad, i dont know if i write it good)

  • Either him or Tony Yeboah for the hardest shot in Prem history!

  • no one saves those.

  • he was better at chelsea

  • Comment removed

  • ???

  • Why were Man City using their AWAY kit at their own home ground??

Regardless... Jimmy is a top bloke. What a legend! Even if there was 4-5 in the wall, the ball was still far to the right and would have gone in anyway.

  • Whoooooow jimmy jimmy !!

Jimmy jimmy jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink !

  • Jimmy you legend!!

  • at 0:06 doesnt he look like kobe? lmao

  • wat a goal

    ROSS ARCHER - Fish? ;)

  • bare in mind he took 1 step and still gained all that power

    JOSH HANLONS A FAG

  • One of the best free kicks i've ever seen

  • premier league top scorer in 99 and 2001

  • Best free kick ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im nt a Chelsea fan, but i can tell you right now, the best Chelsea player of all time is without a doubt, GIANFRANCO ZOLA.

  • @Irfan87 he lives 12 doors down from me!

  • Hasselbaink has the distinction of being the first foreign player to win the Golden Boot in the English top flight.

he's league topscorer in 1999, 2001, and runner up 4 times.

best chelsea player all time in my opinion

  • he was great for leeds also

  • shared Golden boot in 2002 with Shearer and Henry. All of them got 23 goals.

  • why just 2 men?!

  • yea tht gav him alot of space 2 shoot

  • What a shot. He even had a short run-up. Wow.

  • Yes it does LOL, retard. If you're standing right behind the ball and hit it, it will get much less power than having a run up

    Some people :L

    What a goal.

  • yes of course. But my point is that he got a hard hit although he had no run up. Sweet free kick.

  • thats the 2ND best free kick ever roberto carlos is still better!

  • thats cuz carlos goal is practicly impossible :)

  • it's a dutchman =)

  • is that the best free kick or what ....wow

  • i'm a city fan, i was there. we were dominating for the last 10 mins and then hasselbabk scored that beauty

  • love that there was hardly any pull back

  • how much we could do with him now!
