I mean, why won't they allow for "regular" single jack headphones to be used. The supplied heaphones doesn't do the great screen any justice.

Yeah, but what I really liked the most about the IFE system on the SIA B777 are...

-i can charge my ipod on the usb slot.

-the selection of movies is really cool, from cinema releases as new as 2 months old.

-the screen, although the reviewer said is unfortunate with it's big size, is the best in terms of contrast and sharpness. you can't get any better or bigger than that on an economy class flight.

Having said that, i didn't like the mediocre heaphones you have to use.
