i`ve read in Nick Mason`s "inside out" book that David does that sounds with wah pedal.

but i can`t imagine how a wah pedal can make such sounds.

perhaps he also uses a slide and echoes?(literally)

@Seiltur09 i tried it out a while ago and it works, if you use your wah in a fx-loop it doesn't work but straight to your amp it will give the right sound

Actually I just found out he makes those screeches (during the strange scary part) with a wah hooked up the opposite way. Some roadie did it on accident for him once and then the sound was born

A lot of distortion. I think he throws in some artificial harmonics in there. Its mostly the fuzz effect he has on that guitar. My favorite pedal ever made.
