vista and a via processor...what junk. spinning hdd and now you have crap. Asus eee pc kills this mini with xp sp3 which is twice as fast as the Vista Os and an sdd drive (8 times the shock resistance)and lighting read and write speeds.

well Vista is slow but good and XP is fast but not as good as Vista but you can get XP on it or Linux i have a new HP laptop i got XP on it but it where Vista on it when i got it

actually, vista is not significantly slower than xp. Both os' architectures are so flawed that it's just better to get a linux (for noobs of course). Windows 7 is looking good however.

Linux is hard to use, in the beginning, and it support very little, Windows is the main operative system and then you have Mac on the second, my self i run Windows 7, i tried Linux for 2 month, Windows XP for 4 years, and rest i run Windows ME and 2000, 98

Then why we should buy it when Eee can run it very much sufficiently as well and costs 2 or 3 times less?

And for reporters kind note and for improving of his knowledge data base: pls don't blow pixels to much 'high up' on 9 inch screens otherwise it will be VERY, VERY hard to read anything on it. It will all get VERY, VERY SMALLLLLLLL!

2.  higher resolution means more info on screen. if you want, you can make a lager font etc...
