my family recently found a walker hound, (skin and bones, bleeding paws) we've nursed him back to health but are unable to keep him. he is about 2 yrs.old and very loving.Do you know anyone interested in a good hound dog?
nice treeing walker. make sure he gets lots of excersise. if you dont, this breed is VERY prone to hip dysplaisa. and also, some people will try to tell you he will not be hyper if he gets neutered. this is not the case. actually, because of the way tree walkers live ( very fast and furious for the hunt) this will only make him more likely to bite and may try to hump you ( not kidding, my male does this! lol.) just get lots of ex. and also, play games that involve chasing tofulfilhis hunt driv
lots of exercise -- if we don't take my walker hound Cooper for at least a 1 hour walk every day, he gets really anxious and chews stuff up. as long as he gets his walks he's an angel.
Gomer has been fixed, for one. Gomer doesn't hunt, which would offend some owners. My wife treats him like a small dog. If your dog is young that could be a factor.
Exercise helps TONS!!! So if you aren't really one to run miles with your dog everday get a Springer attachement to your bike that allows your dog to run along next to your bike. It's awesome!!!
