Isn't it amazing how when you just /speak/ a language it can be difficult, but if you SING it becomes natural and fun? LOL It is the same with Swahili Christian hymns that I have sung
I can't believe that every video I watch in German, about Germany or having German commenters happens to have someone spouting shit about instances which should not be forgotten, but definitely dropped...
This is a brilliant movie, and I was curious as to how it sounded in languages other than English. I admit I can't understand German any further than picking out familiar words... But it is the thought.
On the same subject, I must say it sounds better than the French version.
I can't believe that there's still a lot of people who blame Germans of being Nazis. Are you insane or what? Oh, what the hell, I'm Italian, worship me now, I invented pizza. That's an order.
Plus shouldn't we talk about Disney movies or something?
Was soll dieser Blödsinn?
@Neowitch Disagree here the lyrics make sense (i'm german) actually the song is better (more funny) in german than in english ... one of those rare examples were dubbing actually produced something good ^^
i thought english came from south africa or maybe australia, i appreciate the history lesson. what does this have to do with german SOUNDING like yelling?
@natyice So you say that german is yelling? Do you know something about the history of your mother tongue?
English is a West Germanic language that originated from the Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Britain by Germanic invaders from various parts of what is now northwest Germany and the Netherlands. Initially, Old English was a diverse group of dialects, reflecting the varied origins of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England. One of these dialects, Late West Saxon, eventually came to dominate.
The original Old English language was then influenced by two further waves of invasion: the first by speakers of the Scandinavian branch of the Germanic language family, who conquered and colonized parts of Britain in the 8th and 9th centuries; the second by the Normans in the 11th century, who spoke Old Norman and ultimately developed an English variety of this called Anglo-Norman. These two invasions caused English to become "mixed" to some degree.
Cohabitation with the Scandinavians resulted in a significant grammatical simplification and lexical enrichment of the Anglo-Frisian core of English; the later Norman occupation led to the grafting onto that Germanic core of a more elaborate layer of words from the Romance languages (Latin-based languages). This Norman influence entered English largely through the courts and government..
This movie doesnt have the same characteristic as fievel... in wich EVERY voice in EVERY language sounds like it is made by the same person... But the diferences between the different languages in this song are just awesome !!
the tramslations in disney movies aren't literal always. sometimes it isn't possible, because of the rhymes. but the meaning of the words is usually the same somehow of course. but in my eyes some german translations can also be better and create a new feeling / spirit ^^. like "bare necessities" - in german: Probier's mal mit Gemütlichkeit (sth. like "try some cosiness" or so). ;)
I actually like this version of the song better than the American version. I can hear the intensity of the singer's voice more than that of the American singer's voice. However, if you translate the lyrics word for word, the song would be worse: Other than that this song is great.
I just LOVE hearing him sing the "Arabian Ni-ghts!" part!
Thanks for uploading the uncut version of the song! I still find it ridiculous that people complained about that. Come on, it's an animated fantasy movie! Or does a genie in a bottle really exist in that region?
Germany is WAY closer to Arabia than any english speaking country (which created this movie) so how is that comedic? Seriously? You could ride a train to Turkey from Germany and it would only take a few hours.
@SackFreak : Actually you english is good, there's no mistakes in your sentences. Just don't use the word epic at all. EVERYONE(and I'd like to really exaggerate everyone) here hates that word!
Do the German natives find the English language as awesome as I find the German language? I believe the only things I don't like about Germany are sauerkraut and blood-wurst.
Yes, gobblox, I find the english version awesome^^ And this with Sauerkraut and Blutwurst... thats prejudices, not many germans like it xD I don't like them too^^
hahahahahahahaha!!! i believe that if i didn't grow up in germany, I wouldn't like sauerkraut either but blutwurst??! isn't it the same as black pudding? well kinda hahahahaha!!! and i love english by the way!=)

Well now America finally fighting against the true Aryans which come from the ancient Civilization in the middle east. Unfortunately, these people don't deserve the bad reputation they have. It's mostly because Jewish people control the media and now they are using their ability to spread their propaganda as a way of ruining the Muslims reputation even more.
If you know about the history of your country and what is currently going on in America you will see the irony in all this.
No, the Jews don't blame all Germans for being Nazis. Hell, a lot of the Jews in the US are of German ancestry themselves. It's like how not all southerners are toothless bums that put on white sheets and burn crosses.
Well guess why? :D I mean it's obvious ^^ guys are charming wenn they're try to impress girls :D and what's better then show off with some french skills :D xD
Ah, this is not what I meant. xD But, if nobody understands you, it's unnecessary. Whatever, do you want a translation of your (fabulous) charming sentences ? ;D
hahaha noo :D I just want you to say somethin' in french what has a nice and gentle touch... I mean somethin' like "you got beautiful eyes" or stuff like that... well I think this one was a bit too trashy :D
Yes, it's classic but ... That will never go out of fashion. =D
You can say "Tu as des yeux magnifiques". (I'd like to hear you saying that ! xD)
I think this version is better : "Cela devrait être interdit d'avoir d'aussi beaux yeux". What means "this should be forbidden to have such beautiful eyes". Nevertheless, you should practice before, right ?
my school's band is playing this song, and the choir is singing it, except their singing it internationaly, in every language. ivery line is different^^ it's sooooo cool. my favorites are the dutch, german, and spanish. they sound so awesome^^
I looooove DISNEY!!!!<3<3<3
Dieses Lied... SITZT einfach.
It´s he nostalgia, much like antiqe paintings, porcelain (? dunno the word, I think, german heritage got the better of me:P) and cars, if you want something old time, you gotta have to pay for it. :P

Ah, this is not what I meant. xD But, if nobody understands you, it's unnecessary. Whatever, do you want a translation of your (fabulous) charming sentences ? ;D
MademoOisell 3 years ago
hahaha noo :D I just want you to say somethin' in french what has a nice and gentle touch... I mean somethin' like "you got beautiful eyes" or stuff like that... well I think this one was a bit too trashy :D
Terfen 3 years ago
Yes, it's classic but ... That will never go out of fashion. =D
You can say "Tu as des yeux magnifiques". (I'd like to hear you saying that ! xD)
I think this version is better : "Cela devrait être interdit d'avoir d'aussi beaux yeux". What means "this should be forbidden to have such beautiful eyes". Nevertheless, you should practice before, right ?
MademoOisell 3 years ago
I think we should switch to PM over youtube ^^ hope the video-owner is not pissed about our language conversation :D :D
you down?
and the first one I understand.. but I'm always forgetting the "de" ^^
Terfen 3 years ago
I know very limited French, but what I do know is this: "Je suis le seul robot sur ce coin" hahaha, good times!

Progr89 3 years ago 7

levis02000 3 years ago 25
RICKYweNdEl 3 years ago 7
Bestes Beispiel: "Bet on it!" AHRGH!
megacoolerman 3 years ago
