Am I the only one who hated Mimi Frye. She cheated on Derek and almost had a baby with another man. Derek still stood by her side. Then when Derek admitted to cheating on her and being sorry for her. She just divorced him and left with no hesitation. Then when her daughter tells her, her fiance is making sexual advances towards her, she doesn't believe her. Most clueless bitch in the history of Soaps.

Erica's narcissism is the key to her character. The other residents of PV have always humored her by acknowledging she is the center of the universe and thus, the character has become larger than life. It's an 'in joke' on the creative team of AMC that Erica is always treated like 'the star', because this the identity she desperately clings to as a means of conquering her abandonment complex (which always gets her in the end).
