Superman in a fighting game should surely nullify every single other character unless they are all carrying kryptonite, which would in tern nullify superman in a fighting game....

@jimthehappymonkey1 Kryptonite isn't the only thing that weakens Superman. The color of the sun would also have an effect on his powers (the redder it is the weaker he is). Not to mention Superman is also vulnerable to Magic. The whole universe-merging thing was a Magic-based occurence. That is why Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung and Scorpion were all able to beat him. Shang Tsung and Scorpion both have magical attacks so they would have beaten Superman worse than what Sub-Zero could have done.

@ryumancer also, in the Spiderman/Superman crossover, a small amount of kriptonite dust only weakened superman enought for spiderman to battle him on even grounds, with temporary effects once the dust wore off.
