I first heard this song when I was in 6th grade. For about two months of that fall ('04, I'm 17 btw), this was one of the songs I would jam to when I got home from school. Major Lance's response is good, but I can really feel the soul here. For all the people who remember when this came out, be thankful, because this is great music. 1963 doesn't seem like it was as bad as some have made it out to be. Listening makes me wish that I could've been there.
@darjim68 Well my man I agree with ya dates but every yr waz great for the oldies! Even down to last yr with jamin' trax like "come get your love" by Redbone in 73!!
@FunkMasterRio Good point...a few songs are recorded over the years that are true classics...Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes w/ Teddy singing "If you don't know me by now" can still get the job done!!!
WoW! this is a really flash back . I wasn't old enough when it came out but I collected them as I got older. Awesome... sounds good but today everybody wants to add boom bass to all the sounds ruining what's already good . Thanks for the listen .

!963 was a great year for great music. For my taste, the golden years of music were '58 thru 63.

Sounds like you might have been listening to a transistor/AM radio. Music was fun then, you couldn't tell what the real words were.
