Center skeg slides into the fin box full forward and back-off about an inch. Looser turning fin is forward. Never place the center fin full rear or cutting back will be difficult unless you are standing directly over the fin which isn't often...simple formula.
Notice how this experienced shaper doesn't use the word "whatever" when discussing the fin placement and distances. It's not a "whatever" you like configuration, it's proven distances, all part of the bag of important 'secrets' of expert shapers. No doobie-logic here. No dumbing-down dogs.....!
