When Sawyer started to cry his birth dad got this sad face on. Almost like he was concerned he would never hear himcry again. Your videos make me cry. I was adopted at the age of 4 and had an open adoption. Visited my birth father regularly until I turned 12 and never wanted to see him again. I never saw my birth mother.

hey-- just a personal question you dont have to answer.. i am new to your videos-- did you and your husband try having kids of your own?? what did the doctors say if you couldnt have children? i was told i couldnt have children because of a pituitary tumor and pcos but i got pregnnat 2 years after getting married

It's amazing how much Sawyer looks like his birth father!

It's so nice that Sawyer will never have to go through the turmoil so many adopted kids experience! He'll never have to wonder about the circumstances surrounding his birth.

I really enjoyed watching this!!! I hope it gets a million views! Amazing story! So happy for you guys! He's a cute kid..nice guy! I'd like to know his and her thoughts of what they THOUGHT open adoption was going to be like versus what it is now. How they view the future too. When you have an open adoption are there a lot of things specifying exactly what it will be like (set in stone) or is it up to you guys to change it as you please and they are allowed so much time every month etc?

@dreamflight6000 Next time I see him we will make a video response to this question. I actually get asked this a lot. In our adoption, we decided to do what is comfortable with everyone &what feels right. Brett & I can do as we please. We can decide how much time we spend with his birth parents. We havent set a certian number of visits. We are very comfortable with L & J so we just see them when ever. They are like our best friends. Its weird. I forget that they are his birth parents sometimes.
