i found on Fallout Wikipedia, if you want to make the pacific solution and before this quest you helped Hardin to be the Brootherhood chief(my case) there's no dialogue for the pacific solution, but you can put this "SetObjectiveCompleted 00136166 50 1", and this "SetObjectiveDisplayed 00136166 56 1" on the console so you can skip this part and finish it with pacific solution

You dont have to kill the brotherhood I didn't but lost some NCR fame if you do all if the bos quests then tell the main dude the NCR wants them dead he says he'll help at the damn the go tell Moore and u lose a small amount of fame for NCR
@mrwabb0 there is, have arcade gannon as a companion hes at the medical area in freeside. once your getting towards the end of the storyline, you will get a quest from him to get the best power armor in the game "enclave remnants"

@swiftkilla1 u have to be on good terms with the NCR and the guy at the embassy will tell u 2 go to hoover dam and then colonel moore will giv u tons of missions then she will tell u 2 destroy the BoS and if mcnamara is elder not hardin then u can do that option :)

Lol when i did it i removed the detonater from the vertibird and the sniper missed his shot and then i blocked the second and third shot for the pres.
@1Falvarez1 I could'nt agree more. hopefully in the next fallout they wont be such dickheads and you can join them and earn your way through there ranks from intiate to paladin and possibly elder. But also offering other faction options. I know there was a previous game like this but i would like a modern remake.
i have a 3rd way to finish this quest (the easiest way), as soon a kimball arives, make sure you have rex (or if you dont have him, you can talk to the ranger with a dog outside, and he'll let you borrow his dog, . as soon as kimball gets out, an engeneer will walk towords the vertibird. wait till your dogs growls and say "my dog doesnt like you". then say "I should tell a ranger". then he'll attack you, but a ranger vet will blow his head off b4 he can charge. thumbs up if this helps

@Gonzalo2009ful you just do that quest, get there trust, then fuck them over. i only did it because i think Mr. House is the boss, so i just did as he asked. the only problem i had was escaping so make sure you can take a bunker of BoS. my advice, phsyco, fuckload of stimpaks, med-x, a weapon effective against armor and armor pierceing bullets... oh, and headshots, lots of headshots

Dang it I always missed that ranger. Well the Legion way went better. As soon as he went out of the visitor center I pickpocketted a C4 in his pocket (using stealth boy and 100 sneak) and when he went on the platform I caused a heck of a mess.
When I approach him all i can do is talk to him and he says "We have a lot to do to prepare for the president's visit and not much time" and then I'm just give the option "Goodbye"
the enjineer w/ the knife came and tried to attack the president when he whas inside and I shot him w/ my light machine but he got away (he probably shit his pants when I shot XD Roflmao).
@maxeminem777 Naughty Nightwear, Mick and Ralphs in free side. Speech 30, talk to the guy who sells weapons and ask him if he has an expanded inventory. After that, the wall will open. Go into sneak mode with a moderate sneak skill (if you dont have it, just use a stealth boy). walk to the cell door, you cant open it. Move your little cursor through the gaps in the cell door. The naughty nightwear is the pink thing sitting on top of an ammo box.
Damn, I really wanted to do this, but for some reason as soon as the president's vertibird landed, it automatically said I finished the quest, gave me the experience, and gave me the achievement. I guess that's good but I really wanted to actually finish it on my own...
I actually did all the NCR missions up until they asked me to destroy the Brotherhood, then I became accepted with the Brotherhood (learned how to use the power armor). I didn't want to destroy The Brotherhood and I had made the other guy the new leader of the Brotherhood and the game didn't let me talk to him about the siding with the NCR, so I decided to talk to Yes Man. I told him I had befriended the NCR and it gave me the option to do this quest (skipping the previous NCR mission).
@lancekwatson It also skipped the part where you talk to Moore (because it had skipped the previous mission) and instead said to just report straight to Ranger Grant
@mataiohardie To activate this quest, you have to continue work on For the Republic, pt 2. If you skipped talking to Liza O'Malley like I did and just killed the Omertas, head back to the hoover dam and talk to Colonel Moore. It won't give you an indicator, but she will still talk to you about it. I'm still stuck with a tag pointing in Liza' direction, but it's eay enough to ignore. lol

Dang it I always missed that ranger. Well the Legion way went better. As soon as he went out of the visitor center I pickpocketted a C4 in his pocket (using stealth boy and 100 sneak) and when he went on the platform I caused a heck of a mess.

Theres also a supply closet behind the stairs that does the engineer missing thing too, but you need 6 perception.

In my game there is no engineer and everyone is just standing around. the speech is done and I killed the sniper.

@maxeminem777 Naughty Nightwear, Mick and Ralphs in free side. Speech 30, talk to the guy who sells weapons and ask him if he has an expanded inventory. After that, the wall will open. Go into sneak mode with a moderate sneak skill (if you dont have it, just use a stealth boy). walk to the cell door, you cant open it. Move your little cursor through the gaps in the cell door. The naughty nightwear is the pink thing sitting on top of an ammo box.

Damn, I really wanted to do this, but for some reason as soon as the president's vertibird landed, it automatically said I finished the quest, gave me the experience, and gave me the achievement. I guess that's good but I really wanted to actually finish it on my own...

@dalkarancalimon When you finish their quest: "Still in the Dark" ask to join the BoS. They'll give you power armor training.

I actually did all the NCR missions up until they asked me to destroy the Brotherhood, then I became accepted with the Brotherhood (learned how to use the power armor). I didn't want to destroy The Brotherhood and I had made the other guy the new leader of the Brotherhood and the game didn't let me talk to him about the siding with the NCR, so I decided to talk to Yes Man. I told him I had befriended the NCR and it gave me the option to do this quest (skipping the previous NCR mission).

@mataiohardie To activate this quest, you have to continue work on For the Republic, pt 2. If you skipped talking to Liza O'Malley like I did and just killed the Omertas, head back to the hoover dam and talk to Colonel Moore. It won't give you an indicator, but she will still talk to you about it. I'm still stuck with a tag pointing in Liza' direction, but it's eay enough to ignore. lol
