This is it. Beijing has finally lost its mind. It will keep issuing orders to beat people to death, during this run-up to Losar, this run-up to the March anniversary; it is brainless. The Chinese government is proving once and for all it does not understand the Tibetan people, the Tibetan culture, and never will. What idiocy, and what a tragic day.
I think most Zang ethnic minorities (Tibetans) activists, living outside of their motherland, China and a small number inside China, including a small minority of Western sympathisers have realized that they have lost a lot of respect in the International Communities today. The disruptions of the Olympic Torch, The Beijing Games, The riots in Lhasa, Xizang (Tibet) province of China in March 2008, and many other disruptive demonstrations had been condemn by people worldwide. Peace to the world.
she's definitely singing in tibetan. but of course, there is a strong indian influence since the tibetan gov't in exile is based in dharamsala, india and bollywood is a huge pop cultural influence across asia.
(i'm chinese-american but can read tibetan better than chinese, figure that one out)
People need to stop carelessly throwing the word genocide around. China has done a lot of horrible things to Tibet, but genocide is not one of them. A genocide is what happened in Rwanda, East Timor and the Holocaust.
School students in Tibet (Amdo) have protested. They want to keep their Tibetan language.

Chinese youtube channels are promoting Tibetan singers. Most of them sing in Chinese (Mandarin). Westerners, don´t be fooled.
There are some Tibetan music channels with genuine Tibetan music.

Clearly this piece has a very strong Indian flavour. This is a proof that cross-culture can be a beautiful thing. I love the music.

Nice videos, your videos and efforts are a slap to the face of those tibetans who lived their whole pathetic life outside of Tibet.
