singer but did cover american pop/rock hits and made an awful version each time...he came

from the English variety tradition all straw boater and twirling cane...and should have stuck to

it . Sdaly he could'nt act either.

A voice similar to Gene McDaniels. Frankie Vaughan, one of the MOST UNDERRATED British entertainers since I came to UK in the 60's!!! Great stage persona, great vocalist . . . . .AND. . .a fine family man who followed his religious principlesf both on-&-off stage. Really P/O'd me when the UK liberal media besmerched Mr Vaughan's character & principles when his son was in court over drugs. But that's typical of most of the media in UK AND USA, yeh, huh?? Frank's grandfather left his wife in Liverpool and emigrated to America. He didn't entirely disappear because discovered late in his life that his grandfather had married again in the USA and had a grandson, Neil Diamond. In certain pictures of Frank the likeness is very clear.
