ah right cool. i have an ibanez rg7321 but havent really got used to the extra string yet. its amazing for fredrik-esque tapping shit! feels so smooth compared to my bc rich bich which is probably nicer to play but not nearly as metal

I think what Flamencer means is that when you move your hands about on the fret, you make this sliding down that sounds like a DJ scratching... It isn't as tight and precise as Thordendal. And I do believe Thordendal uses all downstrokes for that riff at 1:27, I really don't think you are. But I must say, an excellent try nonetheless at the Medley...

Also thanks for interesting comments, but on the downstrokes point I would actually disagree, I reckon I see and hear upstrokes at that bit. (I could be wrong though)
