Thank you for posting this, I figured I'd never get to see this but am so glad I did. I've always liked Peter Davidson as I knew him from 'All Creatures Great and Small'. I grew up in the country without cable and we never got to see Doctor Who except on PBS late at night and they never ran Peter Davidson's version. So, this was cool for me.

@crunch786 It's always been there...well no it was there since the second doctor, it went in and out of fashion over the course of the series because some writers thought it was too easy to just sonic a problem away, by the time the fifth doctor came on the scene it was written out entirely until the revival

The 7th Doctor used is occasionally and it was in the Doctor Who movie as one of the objects in the paper bag that was found on the Doctor's body when he was shot. That was the last time the original sonic was seen. Then we had the sonic seen with Doctors 9 and 10 which gets destroyed in the new series 3, replaced with an identical copy which is destroyed by dr 11 who gets a new sonic.

I love how the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) had to explain why the 5th Doctor (Peter Davison) looked so much older than he should. In techno babble nonetheless! The 10th Doctor may be missed, but the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) has proven himself fully capable of filling in the big sneakers David left behind.

Does anyone else get the feeling that, right at the end, David Tennant forgot he was the Doctor and just poured out his heart to his favorite childhood hero? It was very heartwarming.

So following the 5th doctors timeline, he eventually becomes the 10th and remembers meeting himself back when he was the fifth doctor. It's all very wibbly wobbly timey wimey. But it makes sense.

When rose saved her father from being run over by a car it created a paradox and the Reapers bled through into reality. It's called the Blinovitch Limitation Effect.
