It really is an appalling movie. When I went to the Leeds Highlander convention in '06, we witnessed a sneak peak of The Source, it got mixed responses - their wasn't many people who had faith in this movie, even before it was released.

I then witnessed the movie in its entirety in 2007. The Source is nothing but a pernicious sequel to a franchise that died long ago. It's almost as if the producers WANTED to create a bad movie, just to finish off the franchise forever.

I mean, I love the first Highlander, but I've basicly given up following the rest of the movies, since first watching Highlander 2: The Quickening and then read about the other sequals. The first movie was an awsome epic, the sequal was an awful new retelling of the background story, which has got NOTHING to do with Connor MacLeod's background story from the first movie...

I did watch the movie and as I predicted, Peter Wingfield did the best you can under those circumstances. Why such a great actor like Peter should ever be in a movie like that is just beyond me. He probably just wanted to revisit the character but wow-the villain...the villain in that movie...Wow. They could not have done worse if they had animated him and made him an evil Elvis impersonator with a vendetta. That literally wouldn't have been much worse than what they had. So sad.

the whole thing is annoying but the highlander saga is to be viewed as what ifs eg you can watch the 1st + settle with it, or on to the 2nd which contradicts itself, or the 1st-3rd the start of the gathering and not the final battle, or go from the 1st-start of gathering, immortals still alive- to the series then end game, anything else bar 'the raven' arn't considered cannon e.g. the animated series etc but yeah i'm lookin forward to it and the 2 follow-ups planned keep up the good work guys

Any version of The Source that is available is not the final producer's version of the film. Peter Davis and Bill Panzer are are presently trying to FUCK THE SERIES UP EVEN MORE. Where Connor won the prize in part 1 and in part 2 and heck he won it again in Part 3 too but shit we need a new Rolls Royce so we fucked all that to shit and made a part 4 in which SUPRISE he get's killed.MUUWAHAHAAHAH !!!
