All of the men you've mentioned studied in Egypt. Most notably, Pythagoras studied in Egypt for 21 years, on the advice of Thales, then returned to the Island of Lesbos at 51 and began teaching mathematics among other things.
Furthermore, the Hippocratic oath made by all Greek and Roman Physicians paid homage to Imhotep. The Egyptian arch-type of genius and a name/title used by many Egyptian scholars.
Egypt was in decline after 4 thousand years at the time Greece's rise from her shoulders.

The Hipocratic oath DOES NOT PAY HOMAGE TO IMHOTEP! I have read the original text in ancient Greek and it makes no reference to Imhotep OR Egypt.
As for Thales try to find an Egyptian text that precedes his naturalistic cosmology (he tries to expain the origin of the universe without involving superanturar powers like the Egyptians did).So he made a original contribution to human thinking.

You are right. Even if Ancient Egyptians were blacks or whatever color, that doesn't mean that whoever has the same skin tone today, has inherited the legacy of the Egyptian culture and his ancestors had anything to do with it. The same goes for Greeks, whoever has the same skin tone with Ancient Greeks, doesn't make him automatically part of Ancient Greece. As for what Greeks considered the ideal racial type, someone can read Aristotle. Neither Nordics, nor Blacks.

I think the point being made here is that neither Sub Saharan africa, nor Northern Europeans were very developed at the time of classical greece.
Although there are mentions in ancient egyptian literature of the Kingdom of Kush/Nubia.
This was a kingdom of africans.. whilst northern europe were simply a hunter gathereres and small villages at that time.
